This means total diversity. You could, for example, have 4 x 4 port USB hubs (a 16 port USB hub in total). The BusStation has it's own power supply, providing a true 500 mA per port current, with an overload protection system on each port. ...Reliable and easy to use cable - a must for anyone making a home network or even a business network. Although Belkin have released a few inferior products in the past, this cable brings thenm right back up again. Category 5 cable such as this is the highest-quality UTP Cable. It is tested at 100MHz, allowing it to run high-speed protocols such as 100Mbps Ethernet and CDDI. Category 5 Cable also uses either 22 or 24 AWG unshielded twisted-pair wire and impedance of 100ohms. It connects with RJ45 connectors (avaiable cheaply) RJ-45 connectors look a bit like a standard phone connector but are twice as wide (with eight wires). ...A wireless network has recently been installed where I live and I was unable to connect to it using my Belkin F5D7000, without moving my PC into the middle of the room. I read up on how to improve network connection and the Belkin F5D6900 seemed like a reasonable option. The Belkin F5D6900 is a small omni-directional antenna that comes fitted to a base, so it sits on your desk, and a 1 metre length of cable. Installing it is simplicity itself, as you only have to unscrew the antenna fitted to your network card and screw on the free end of the cable. It is then just a case of trial and error to find the best place to put the antenna. I was amazed to see how much difference the signal strength is affected by the positioning, considering the cable is only 1 metre long.
