Advantages Advantages You can get really drunk

Disadvantages Disadvantages Human fraility being what it is, maybe you shouldn't

A week ago I won a bottle of Bells whisky through a superhuman effort at beer and skittles and in the interests of scientific consumer reporting I thought a review of it might be a good idea. Bells - the name on the lips of every right thinking middle-aged online PC buff in search of Nirvana. Invented, not by Alexander Graham Bell who obviously invented what I once saw Agatha Christie call, 'telephonic communication,' but by Arthur Bell of Scotland. He created the concept of mixing lots of whiskies together in the belief that more whisky is better whisky. What a guy. I'll certainly drink to ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none to mention

I was in the town centre; it was daytime. An old man seemed to appear from out of nowhere. White beard, gaunt look, stooped appearance. ‘I have to tell you something…’ he began. ‘It’s important…’ A crooked hand enclosed itself around my wrist. I had been walking along Church Street, minding my own business, thinking of a review I had been writing for Ciao! A review on Bells Whisky. Was this man here to tell me not to do it? Had he somehow read my thoughts? He looked to be an alcoholic. Was I therefore wrong to promote the consumption of such drinks ... more

Advantages Advantages helps ease sore throats, nice in coffee

Disadvantages Disadvantages burning taste, expensive, just urghhhh!!

A-ha, this’ll shock you! KarenUK writes about something that isn’t an Avon product nor do I mention Pop Idol once. Oops… BELL’S SCOTCH WHISKY Now, most people who have written in this category are fans of whisky, not me. I rarely drink alcohol and if I do, my choice of tipple is Bailey’s or a nice cheap white wine like Lambrusco Dell Emilia. (My daughter of that name is named after a gymnast, not the wine!!) But when I get a sore throat, I turn to the whisky bottle! I have tried almost every throat medication you can think of and nothing is as effective at easing ... more

Bells Extra Special Old Scotch whisky was first produced by a whisky merchant,Arthur Bell, in 1825 but it was not until 1904 that the label appeared bearing the words "... Arthur Bell & Sons Exra Special Scotch Whisky". In 1929 " Afore ye go" was registered as the company's official logo. Bells whisky is one of the best blended scotch whiskies. It has a mellowness which is most pleasant on the palate and a rather distinctive character,. This good quality product is actually derived from some 35 malt and grain whiskies, each of which have matured for between 3 and 12 years. Connoisseurs say this ... more

    Advantages Advantages tasty

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not the best

Bells Whisky Whisky has got to be the first proper alcoholic drink that I tried and I was hooked from that very first taster! Seeing as mum and dad were big whisky drinkers (a couple a night nothing too excessive) it was a natural course that I would end up pinching a whiksy and coke and the first oppertunity. They used to drink Bells in the early days but then traded in for Famous Grouse which is a little bit nicer in my opinion. A bottle of Bells whisky can be picked up for under £20 and for that you would get a good sized litre bottle. Whisky is not just good for mixing with coke or ... more
