...that I’ve read my mum’s Bella every Tuesday since I can remember. Of course I buy my own Cosmopolitan, Marie-Claire and Creative Review (Art Student, yip yip!) but I rarely miss reading my mum’s magazine each time she buys it. Sometimes it makes me laugh, sometimes it makes me cringe, but I find it all highly entertaining.

My mum’s forty-one. And as long as I can recall, Bella magazine has been part of her weekly shopping. This means ...
...the other hand began reading Bella at a much younger age… as early as ten years old! This magazine is the one, which planted questions in my mind about sex, periods, relationships, and also gave me the answers issue by issue. Never too risqué, my mum was quite happy that I should read her grown-up magazine, rather than ‘Just Seventeen’ until I was entering puberty anyway. So I think I’m fairly experienced in the magazine now to give an informed review ... more

...well ! What is Bella ? ============ Bella is a weekly magazine that averages about 60 pages per issue. As already mentioned, it is aimed primarily at the women's market. This can be seen by simply looking through the adverts. Hair products, pantyliners ( a dead giveaway !), nappies, supermarkets, razors for women etc. I could go on and on ! Add these to the actual content , and you have got the classic magazine for women. It costs 70 p, which ...
...All these show that Bella has lots of variety within its pages that will appeal to all different kinds of people. Unlike some, Bella has something for everyone. What's Inside ? ============ The contents page is laid out so well that it's easy to find out what you want to read first. Whereas some people like to read a magazine from cover to cover, others will read a particular article or feature first. I fall into the latter category. Don't ask ...

Bella, Bella

Advantages: Well packed, excellent information, fun to read
Disadvantages: n/a

...around for women these days, Bella certainly stands out. The mixture of happy/sad and informative items are very well balanced in my view. It is very simple for a magazine these days to get bogged down, as many newspapers seem to do, in the doom and gloom of life, shoving in the odd happy story or event. Bella certainly shoves itself to the forefront of my mind when looking on the shelf for a quick-to-read magazine. Regular items 1) know your rights ...
...takes the gripes of Bella readers and gets them satisfaction when it comes to the wrongdoings of the nasty, nasty service providers who really should know what the word 'service' means. This recently has involved the legal positions of people who have been sacked or general 'They said they were gonna do something and didn't, please help' I find it very sad that people can not get replies to their grievances sent to the companies. It's a great shame ...

Quick review of Bella

The magazine has changed and is now useless, just like all the other psuedo-celebrity weeklies. There's only so many people interested in Victoria Beckham's self-obsession with the media Bella. Whatever happened to the varied, interesting value for money magazine Bella used to be! Sack the Editor, that's what I say. ...

Vogue, pants. Buy Bella

Advantages: It makes you appreciate Bella
Disadvantages: It's dung

I have to say, that I have invested in a couple of copies of Vogue in the past, and would like to know, Why oh Why do women spend their hard earned money on such crap? All it is, is an oasis of boring adverts, promoting nasty perfumes, big cars and funny looking women with stupid make-up and no boobs. (not that I have boobs or anything!) Now, Bella on the other hand, is a quality mag (?!). (O.k, it's pants too, but I can say that the stories are true) for example, my sister-in- law called me over one day to look at a hole in her toilet seat, no, not the one thats meant to be there, but a kinda stileto size hole. After much studying of her bog seat, we noticed that there was movement in the hole. To cut a long story short, it turned out to be a "hornius, something or other" that had laid dormant in the wood for 40 years. (no, i ...

They will teach you

Advantages: they will show you the right way
Disadvantages: none

The Tweenies television programme is worth it's weight in gold, my daughter Louise absolutely adores this programme. Not only the characters run around in funny costumes your child will learn from this programme. The Tweenies is based on six characters, Max(the old man),Doodle(the dog),Bella,Fizz,Milo, and Jake. Max will show them types of games and how to do things properly,While the other's will watch. If anyone doe's anything wrong one of the Tweenies will say "you are not allowed to do that and i am telling max". The Tweenies shows your children the difference between right and wrong. ...
