When our old microwave finally died after 12 years we looked for another one that would let us cook a whole chicken .
I checked out our local electrical appliance type shops but couldn't see anything of a similar size to our old microwave.
Then I checked our Argos catalogue and found this one.
It had everything I was looking for which essentially was the same functionality and size as our old one ,whilst it had the added benefit of being stainless steel inside and out for easy cleaning, longer good looks and no peeling paint.
It also had a grilling facility and a convection oven setting which I was not really bothered about but hey they were extras.
Being a microwave oven it was bound to be heavy so I looked at Argos online and found that I could order it for home delivery!
For some undisclosed reason , buying it online ...

If you are looking for a simple, compact microwave with grill then this one is well worth a look. The microwave comes complete with turntable and grill shelf and a comprehensive set of instructions.
The controls on the microwave and grill are easy to understand and use and you have the flexibility eight different settings - five for the microwave and five featuring grill and microwave allowing a variety of cooking methods appropriate to the food. The instruction book is easy to follow but has nothing more than a list of cooking times for basic food which doesn't even mention poultry!
There is no recipe book provided which used to be common at one time but to be fair the instruction book tells you just about everything you need to know and is set out well with hints and tips and a question and answer section for the obvious ...

control panel also features a dual cooking facility which allows a combination of::
convection oven + microwave. convection oven + grill. and microwave + grill. I find
the first of these features very useful for speeding up the cooking of roasts and poultry.
The accompanying instruction booklet is set out clearly and simply giving step by step
instruction in the use of all the components. There is a section on parts and accessories
with very clear write ups. The manual also provides instructions and examples of using
the product to it`s full potential. At the back of the manual is a useful weight
conversion chart.
