For a cheap "10MP" camera, this is quite good.
For those, who want a decent camera, go for a LUMIX, or something like that.
My dad does photography (he has a DSLR), and he recommended that when buying cameras, go for the companies who make the lenses (Nikon etc), because the cameras will be better - it is the optical zoom, not the digital zoom that you need for quality imaging.

This is my second compact digital camera and after I owned a Sanyo Xacti VPC-S4, with only 4 MP, this one offered me some pretty good features. First of all, the 10.1 MP speak for them self. I was disappointed by the optical zoom facility, witch I consider being to small for a camera with so many MP. I bought this camera almost a year ago and it still works perfectly. This is the third camera I own and is by far the best of all (my earlier cameras were Sanyo Xacti VPC-S4 and BenQDCC1000).
The 8 Megapixels are more than enough, and the 10x optical zoom works great.
One of the things I like most about this camera is image quality. It's pretty cheap , about half the price of a DSLR. However, it manage to take amazing pictures, but not in all conditions. In poor lighting conditions, the quality of picture has to suffer. In this situation, it is recommended to use a tripod.
The multitude of functions and programs that this camera has, do not recommend it for beginners, unless they want to learn the secrets of photo. Even if it's complex and, by this, complicated, the camera works very well on the auto mode. Colors are alive, powerful ...

The Benq C1000 features a 10.1 megapixel CCD lens, 3x optical zoom and a large 2.4" TFT LCD display for clear and comfortable photo viewing. The C1000 comes with an extensive range of user- friendly modes which includes PASM mode, 8 second shutter speed night scene mode, quick 4 continuous shot mode and printer mode, delivering an impeccable image quality. The PASM (Program AE/Aperture Priority/Shutter Priority/Manual) mode enables users to manually customize the aperture and shutter speed to one's own preferences. The Program AE mode automatically adjusts the aperture and shutter speed by detecting the lighting conditions; the Aperture Priority mode automatically sets an appropriate shutter speed according to the user's choice of the aperture setting; the Shutter Priority mode does vice-versa. BenQ's 8 second shutter speed night scene mode function enables users to capture pictures with clearer and sharper details that disappear in general shutter speed.
