I love Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, it's the ultimate treat,so I used the latest half price offer at Tesco to stock up on my absolute favourite flavour, Cookie Dough. This was at £2 a tub rather than the usual price of £4 a tub. Now, at these prices it is definitely a now-and-then treat for me rather than a must have on my weekly shopping list.
I'm not a fan of chocolate ice cream, which tends to restrict what Ben & Jerry ice creams are available to me. Their famous flavours such as Phish Food and Chocolate Fudge Brownie contain Chocolate ice cream. Cookie Dough is vanilla ice cream with chunks of chocolate and, as you would expect, cookie dough.
The vanilla ice cream is the best that I have tasted, really smooth and creamy. The chunks of chocolate are also sizeable. The chunks of cookie dough are also quite big and soft. As you bite into them, you can taste the sweetness. There are also generous helpings of chocolate and cookie dough throughout the tub (also evenly distributed - nothing more frustrating than having to dig to the bottom to find them!).
I have also always found that the tubs are always filled to the brim, so you actually do get what you are paying for. The only trouble is that you always want more...
