Advantages: Brilliant volume without looking silly! Disadvantages: It's expensive... but highly worth it for a nice treat.

I however have been a fan of this mascara for a long time and own the full size version of it. I noticed some mixed reviews for this mascara so I feel I need to voice my own opinion of it!
I bought the full size 8.5g mascara in Debenhams as a treat with some vouchers from my Shop and Scan panel. This was a certain treat costing £14.50 however I have loved some of Benefit's products before and I was eager to give this one a try! Brightly packaged in a black and pink box, the mascara itself is quite large compared to my usual Bourjois mascara's. It's packaging is simple but sleek and gives off a nice funky feel.
My eye lashes are always being commented on, as they are very long! My opticians comment on them, women at the beauty counters, friends... just about everyone exclaims I have lovely long lashes. I love having long lashes, unfortunately my lashes are quite like the hair on my head, they lack volume and tickness! I always have to choose good volume mascara's and not lengthening ones, they're long enough and using a normal mascara makes them look STUPIDLY long, sparse and quite like spiders legs! I'm always searching for a decent volume building mascara and whilst I usually stick with brands such as Bourjois, I have now come across the perfect mascara. You've guessed it, it's Benefit's Bad Gal Lash mascara!
This mascara gives my eye lashes lovely volume, they appear thicker however without clumpiness or that horrible overly fake look. I love wearing this mascara if I'm going out on an evening or just on a weekend, I don't feel that wearing very strong mascara's are suitable for work. The mascara goes on my lashes easily and doesn't take many coats at all to make them look thicker and full of volume, making my eyes look (if I may say so myself) GORGEOUS!
This mascara has lasted me months, but that's probably because I wear it around once a week, as I mentioned before, I don't wear thick mascara's for work. I do love it though, despite the £14.50 price tag, and I certainly will buy it again. I simply have not come across a mascara that gives the great volume my lashes need like this one.
At the end of the day this mascara is easy to remove with make-up remover, and I believe Benefit also do a waterproof version of this mascara now! ...hit and miss experience with Benefit in the past, though this mascara looks pretty stylish with it's jazzy packaging so I thought I'd give it a try. I can be quite shallow and judge products on looks far too often and so I often end up with a drawer full of 'pretty rubbish'. This mascara comes in two different sizes, there is a full size one (8.5g) and a smaller half size one (4g) , they cost around £14.50 and £9.50 respectively. I've got the smaller ... ...which was great value as I only paid £2 for the magazine. The mascara comes in black, plum and blue, and there is also a waterproof version. The colour I had was just the standard black one, I found it a bit odd that it didn't come in brown as that is a popular colour too, certainly more popular than plum I would have thought! == Packaging ==
The mascara is contained within a black tube as is normal for mascaras and it also comes inside a cardboard ...

BAD GAL MASCARA
As has come to be expected of BeneFit, the mascara comes in a rather strangely decorated container: a black box with fuchsia pink and white text which matches the wand itself (but incidentally matches nothing else in the range, bar the Bad Gal eyeliner). Personally I find it rather cheap and gaudy/80s looking ... ...is the majority of the BeneFit range, so make sure you grab it on 3 for 2 in Boots like I did. The RRP is £14.50 for 8.5g. Normally I’d recommend scouring eBay for a bargain but I’d never chance that with an eye product as someone could have tested it.
VERDICT
I don’t think this is suitable if you want a really natural effect as if you’re wearing no makeup at all, but I like it because when I wear mascara I want it to look more obvious than my ...

...mascara was brought out by BeneFit as a complement to the Bad Gal Eyeliner; a chunky bold black eye pencil. As with all of BeneFit’s products the mascara comes in really stylish packaging. It’s all black with bold pink and white lettering down the side. The tube itself is pretty big compared to most mascara. The brush is also bigger than with most brands of mascara that I’ve used before and has lots of bristles; BeneFit clearly had the phrase ‘bigger ... ...makes some pretty bold claims about their Bad Gal Lash mascara not least by saying that it will make you look like you’re wearing false eyelashes but then again they never have been a company who are modest in their claims! The mascara itself only comes in one colour and of course that had to be black, after all what self-respecting Bad Gal would be seen in any other colour?
Now I certainly don’t have long eyelashes but I do have plenty of them. ...

...Lancome Hypnose, so if a good mascara is important to you I would say this is worth the investment. It also comes in a dark blue and dark plum colour.

What can I say? Another wonderful mascara by Rimmel! Definitely 100% waterproof as it claims, so you're in no worry of a mascara run! But at the same time it is easy to remove with face wipes when you're done.
The brush reminds me very much of BeneFit's 'BadGalLash' - big and bulky, therefore easy to apply, but it's a much cheaper product than 'BadGalLash'!
The mascara is one of those that lasts a long time and doesn't dry up for much longer than it says on the product - so is useable for a bit longer if you're running low on cash.
The only downside is that it doesn't let my eyelashes get as 'full' as other mascaras - which may or may not happen to yourself but is a possibility it may happen. Even so, I still find it a good mascara! Therefore I recommend it to others. ...

better more effective mascaras available on the high street such as BadLashgal from BeneFit and Max factor also have one or two better mascaras which I would happily promote and may write a review about. I have since written to Maybelline to express my dissatisfaction at their products as I felt really annoyed especially given that their marketing campaign was so good and I actually asked for a reimbursement and enclosed by product to them. Whether or not I will get a reply I don't know but I have never felt so aggrieved about a product that I felt compelled to write and tell them what I thought.
