Disadvantages Price, poor packaging
Benefit Her Glossiness
Since wearing Benefit Bad Lash Gal and being very disappointed with it I thought the last thing I would do is buy another Benefit product. That was until a few weeks ago when I saw my friend wearing Her Glossiness. When I saw her I couldn't take my eyes of her lips, they we're like a celebrities, very glossy and pouty, it didn't look gloopy or sticky and from that moment. I had to ask her what product it was and I was amazed when she said it was a benefit product. I have to say though I was sold and I had to have one as well.I have read a few reviews about this product and I was surprised, no one raved about it.
I went straight to Boots to purchase the £13 lip gloss! They had five different shades including:The packaging I feel doesn't live up to the Benefit name, when I think of Benefit as a brand I think of quirky packaging, don't take themselves to seriously, having fun with makeup and their packaging. This is why when I bought this lip gloss I was a little disappointed as the packaging wasn't what I expected. It was plane and boring. It is a clear 3.0g tube (which can be good as you can see how much product you have left) with a black glossy lid. The packaging looks cheap and doesn't represent the £13 price tag.
Inside the applicator itself is sponge, which makes for easy application and glides on so smoothly with very little effort. This gloss has a very lovely smell; it smells very fruity almost like a summer smell, the scent stays on the lips longer than other glosses I have found.
If you wear this product all day you will notice your lips are soft, although like other glosses and lipsticks your lips will eventually dry out so a good lip treatment is needed before bed so you're ready for the mornings glossing.Ok the £13 price tag is expensive but I think it is a brilliant gloss that I would buy again in the future, after all it will take me a while to get through this tube so the price is justified, unlike cheaper brands where you get half the amount of product that you have to keep re-purchasing. You can purchase a decent branded gloss for £20 upwards so £13 isn't that bad, is it?
