An Instant Colour Correcter For Baby Fresh Eyelids
I love the Benefit brand, and I seem to own quite a lot of their cosmetics . Their products are fun and funky. In their kitsch packaging with the 50's artwork, Benefits appeal seem to lay in the image they promote. Their cosmetics are marketed and advertised with the young generation in mind, and they capture their imagination, and their purse, with their bright colours of their retro packaging. Benefit cosmetics are a hugely successful brand, both here, and in the USA. Lemon Aid by Benefit cosmetics is from their 'Forever young' range of products. It comes in a baby compact which contains the yellow crème. The circular, mirrored 2 inch compact is neatly made of black plastic with the word Benefit written in lilac lettering. It is encased within a navy box with yellow writing of Lemon Aid, and the weight which is 2.7g/0.09oz. It also contains a massive leaflet about said product, and the benefit range in general. The compact is well made, and it contains a mirror to the inside.
The Lemon Aid cream is pale yellow in colour, with a subtle hint of lemon sherbet fragrance. It is quite a thick creme, and it is recommended you rub your finger in the crème for a while to soften it before using. If you try to use it straight away it will drag at the delicate eye area, so it really is wise to wait until it has softened with the heat of your finger. Basically what the Lemon Aid cream is for, is to even out the tone and colour of the eye area. It is a primer for any additional eye makeup also. Once softened it will glide across the skin of the eye area when applied by your forefinger.
Smoothe the cream in gently, and if you wish you can take it under the eye area also. I usually take it down to the top of my cheekbone, and right around the side of the eye area as well. You can use several coats if you wish to get a more intense colour. This product is great when used on it's own, or as a base coat for eye make up. Make sure you blend it in well. It's worth taking time on the application. If you just heap it on without thoroughly blending it in, you could end up with a line of the cream in the crease of your eye, once the heat of your skin melts it a little .
I personally love to wear it on it's own. Once you have applied it , stand back, and you will see what an amazing product this is. The Lemon Aide really opens up the eye area, it seems to rejuvenate it. The skin around your eyes looks bright, young, fresh, and wide awake. It is also a very pretty lemon colour, that compliments the colour of your eyes. My eyes are bright blue, and it really makes them stand out when I have this product on. I think the Lemon Aid looks great with just mascara, it's a nice, natural look. In fact it even looks good just on it's own, depending on how little eye make up you can get away with. The cream will last on your eyes all day, this is no shrinking violet, and it's staying power is impressive.
Yellow colour is perfect for correcting redness and discolouration on the skin, and it is a colour which actors use upon the stage, with pan stick make up, to even out their skin tone. It is a brilliant eye primer, which cost me £15.50 from Debenhams department store. Larger Boots also stock this range, as do Selfridge's, and you will be able to pick up a booklet of their products from the counter. Be careful though. I bought one product, this one actually, and I was hooked. This is a very addictive and expensive habit to acquire. The Lemon Aid will last forever. I haven't even dented the middle, and I have used it loads of times. So your £15.00 odd, will actually have been quite a wise investment. Once again, do check on Ebay as I know you will find a bargain there. This is great cream which achieves a very pretty, natural look. I actually prefer this to Touch Eclat by Yves St Laurent, which I also use, and it is about £10.00 cheaper also. I have experienced no irritations, or allergies to this crème, and I have very sensitive skin. So all in all this comes highly recommended.-
