If value for your money and a quality of service are important to you then I advise that you do not spend your money at Benson Beds. My wife and I bought a new bed at our local branch in Christchurch for which we paid cash “up front.” When the product was delivered one of the integral drawers was badly manufactured and the wooden headboard was crushed out of shape and broken. It was damaged beyond repair. We called Benson’s Customer Services – no reply, just an answerphone! No reply was forthcoming to the message we left. We returned to the store of purchase and a replacement headboard was arranged by the store (who were also unable to contact Customer Services – just an answerphone) but this was badly split and also unserviceable. After several weeks a replacement drawer was available at the store. It was a totally different colour! My wife decided to take a drawer from a bed on display in the store because she wanted to make the bed available to family visitors. We have repeatedly contacted Bensons Christchurch store and received all sorts of promises about delivery of a replacement headboard and after several months, when pressed on a delivery date the staff at the store became abusive. We have still not received a replacement headboard for the bed and we do not believe we ever will. Bensons have taken good money and supplied a substandard product which they are either unwilling or unable to rectify. If you value your money and want to purchase fault free products and avoid unhelpful and abusive staff – don’t shop at Benson’s Beds.

Your experiences with bensons beds are quite the norm as so many people i know have purchased from this uncaring company my grandmother was reduced to illhealth because one of their beds was infested with bed bugs collected on their vechicle despite the drawers falling appart after 3 months springs bursting through (my grandmother is 7 stone) and the frame creaking we were given rough justice and told the bed was only £450 AND IF WE WANTED A GOOD QUALITY BED we would need to order a model out of a suppliers catalouge as all their beds are cheaper copies as is company buying policy (we later learnt buy from argus for cheaper beds and independent stores for better beds) i hope others will gain from our bad buying decision

Demand your money back; if they refuse go to trading Standards. In future consider paying on credit card - they also become liable in event of faulty products.
