Advantages: A good general convection microwave / oven Disadvantages: Not the easiest to use
...We have owned an A883 for some time. My wife and I have twice
caused serious smoke damage to our house as a result of a simple programming error.
If the 'time' is selected and then the 'mode' (convection,grill etc). The selected mode will display. Your are then asked to 'set the time'. Select the time (eg 40mins), and select 'start'. By carrying out this procedure
the oven will automatically go to full power microwave mode.
You may not have realised this. We left the house to go shopping.
On our return the item had set on fire and caused serious smoke damage to the house. Fortunately the fire had been contained within the oven.
Whilst we accept it was our error we are suprised that an incorrect selection of mode was not blocked with an 'error' display....

Advantages: Powerfull and Stylish Disadvantages: Expensive
..., the same web site lists a DC07 Brush as being 8.83kg so there is a weight difference. Unlike is predecessor the DC14 is easier to use in every day life and no longer feels like you're pushing it, more it pulling you along. My wife is able to carry this hover up stairs something that she could not with the DC07.
Root 8 Cyclone technology ensures suction is not lost on this model and it shows especially the first few times that you use the vacuum, it will find dust you did not know you had. Though please make sure your carpets are fitted correctly as you will see the vacuum try to lift the carpet! On the technical side of thing the specs have been lowered compared to the DC07 but they are not significant enough to either notice or bother you.
