For those of us who haven't been able to upgrade our fridge freezers to frost free models yet I would highly recommend this product.
What it claims to do.
Removes deposits of frost (although a repaet application may be necessary according to the thickness of the ice). Helps prevent damage to freezer pipes through excessive build up of frost. Non-staining. Will not affect food but AVOID SPRAYING DIRECTLY WHERE FOOD IS LOCATED.
Directions
Switch off the fridge freezer before application. Spray directly on to area to be deforsted. Allow ice to melt. Reapeat procedure if required. Dry off excess mositure.
Extremely flammable Irritant (but didn't have any affect on me and I never wore gloves)
My Experience. My nan actually recommend I get some of this as she was using it for years before she went frost free. I only bother deforsting mine once a year( cos the thought of doing it puts me off) so the build up of ice and frost was so bad on my family size fridge freezer it was getting hard to shut the door. I switched it off removed the food and gave it good spray, I was amazed. It began to work it's magic straight away. I could just pick the build up off with my hands or it just fell off itself with no chipping or hacking it off and no bowls of hot water. The revious times I'd defrosted my freezer it's been such a hassel, boiling kettle for hot water and hacking with a knife it was also a complete mess and took at least 3-4 hours. Although after using this there is still some mess (a bit of water on the floor and bottom of the freezer) it only took an 1 hour and my freezer was completley defrosted. It did however take more than one application (i did use the whole can) on hard to reach areas at the back of freezer and on the pipes where the build up was excessive but I do have quite a big freezer so I wasn't really surprised.
Overall
This is an excellent product and I won't be scared of deforsting my freezer more than once a year anymore. It also doesn't have any smell which is a bonus cos some household cleaning product knock me sick. On the downside you haveto push down quite hard to get a good spray from the can.
