I have always had British Gas as my supplier and had no problems and see no reason to change to another supplier. We have the 3 star cover with them and I can't recommend this enough. Every 12 months somebody from BG comes out and checks the boiler over to check for carbon monoxide levels and they also service the boiler, if anything goes wrong they will come out and fix it.
Before we had the 3* cover a small part broke on my boiler and as always it was on a Sunday and the workman that we got out was rubbing his hands together, a part that cost about £3 to buy actually ended up costing over £150 with the call out charges and labour fees. With the BG cover I know that I will never be ripped off like this again.
It costs just over £100 a year for the extra cover from BG [you get a 10% reduction for the following year if you don't need ...
