You name it, it's here - and, perhaps surprisngly, it's not all expensive. If you do want to spend 2grand on a handbag though, this is the place to do it! There is a fantastic bookstore (books are much cheaper, like most things, in the US) and great clothes and cosmetic shopping (which is what I was there for) as well as ... ...things is the attitude of shop assistants there - it doesn't matter whether you're total grunge or in head to toe haute couture, these people can't do enough to help you. There's an array of 'fast food' outlets - but nothing like fast food in this country - with a central seating area which is a fantastic place to watch the world go by. One of the nicest things is the attitude of shop assistants there - it doesn't matter whether you're total grunge or in head to toe haute couture, these people can't do enough to help you. All the women really do look like they just stepped out of a salon; there are very old ladies in the latest designer garb and people who you won't recognise but know must be 'someone' because they arrive with a posse of bodyguards!
