This place is one of the most amazing I've ever been - and not just for the shopping. The shopping is, however, just fantastic. You name it, it's here - and, perhaps surprisngly, it's not all expensive. If you do want to spend 2grand on a handbag though, this is the place to do it! There is a fantastic bookstore (books are much cheaper, like most things, in the US) and great clothes and cosmetic shopping (which is what I was there for) as well as some trendy and exclusive sports shops. One of the nicest things is the attitude of shop assistants there - it doesn't matter whether you're total grunge or in head to toe haute couture, these people can't do enough to help you. There's an array of 'fast food' outlets - but nothing like fast food in this country - with a central seating area which is a fantastic place to watch the world go by. If you like people-watching there is no better place. All the women really do look like they just stepped out of a salon; there are very old ladies in the latest designer garb and people who you won't recognise but know must be 'someone' because they arrive with a posse of bodyguards!
