...I bought these headphones a couple of years ago for dj-ing and normal listening to music. Beyer Dynamics is a German company specializing in recording microphones and headphones for audio professionals. The DT 131’s are an open headphone design and have the following technical characteristics: Transducer Type – Dynamic Acoustic Principle – Open Earpiece Type – Supraural Impedence – 40 Ohms Cord Length – 2 Metres They are of a dark blue / grey colour, which is pleasing to the eye, and have a modern style design. They are lightweight and fit perfectly to your head due to an automatic head size adjustment system. ...Beyer DTX 700 are a great pair of head phone, they have a great bass response and noise cancellation. They have a 3 metre which is useful when moving around because you don't have to worry about pulling the lead out. The ear pad feel weird but very comfortable, and a nice to wear for long periods of time. The pads themselves fit on the outside of you ear so that you still get the full normal ear respetion, i found this strange at first but once you get used to it they are a good fit. The physical size of them isnt bad the once of the cups they go out slightly and over the head quite height because of all the pading. You won't win a prizes for style but anyone who know about head phones can see that these are good and the style while whereing them won't matter. ...This beast can play both MP3s and standard CDs, but most people will buy it for MP3 playback. Skipping is no problem - the track is read into memory, so this player is ideal for use in-car with a cassette adaptor. I use the SP-90 with Beyer Dynamic headphones and it sounds way better than through the supplied headphones. An immediate improvement in functionality can be obtained by downloading the SP-100 firmware, editting the first few bytes to SP-90, renaming the image file to SP-90, and then burning the resultant file to a blank CD. Insert this CD into the player (with a new set of batteries or mains adaptor in use) and swith on. Within a minute the player with have the facilities of the SP-100 player, except for the backlight. I found my SP-90 on TigerDirect as 'refurbished' for well under £50. Go get one now!... Read review
