Beyond Micro Mobile 500 GB

Advantages: Really good calue for money
Disadvantages: Te keyboards too small and not set out too well

...I got this as a Christmas present last year as i needed a laptop to do school work surf the internet and just th usual sorts of things. This laptop is great for that and more. It comes with a 1.8 ghz AMD sempron processor which is pretty good for the £500 this laptop costs. It has 1 gb of ram and an 80 Gb hard disk which is big enough for the average home user. It has a 15.4" TFT monitor. It can play about 2 hours of DVD playback at full charge and it can do just under 3 hours while doing normal work on it. It's very good value for money but it does have bad things going for it aswell. The keyboard was the main let down for me as it has been crushed into a small space and i pretty hard to get used to it. They have tried to cram a whole numerical keypad onto the side of the keyboard which is only useful if you are doing alot... Read review

Advantages: WIFI, External Memory Slot, Full Keyboard
Disadvantages: Internet button is easily pressed...

...greatly improved, battery performance has also been improved and with the addition of WIFI this becomes a very useful device. I believe this is te first of the SPV range to boast a 1.3M pixel camera along with a flash! I mentioned one down side is the Internet button; simply, with this it can be easy to press if the M3100 is still on in your pocket, which of course may lead to small data charges for internet access, that said, it's not enough to put me off using it. The memory slot does take Micro SD cards, so be aware that you won't be able to squeeze your SD, or Mini SD cards into it somewhere; the good thing is they have come down in price quite quickly and it's amazing that you can store 1 or 2 GB of data on something the size of your fingernail!
