The second half to her life, is mainly her practising or wanting to practise becoming a lawyer, what goes against her mainly is her colour.
But she fights through that with not many problems. ...which really touching and heart melting as she had more than enough things in her past to make her turn her back on everything, i dont think i would have the strength to overcome what she has.

But she fights through that with not many problems. Then she starts practising what she wants to do which really touching and heart melting as she had more than enough things in her past to make her turn her back on everything, i dont think i would have the strength to overcome what she has. Her problem now being, due to the torment and constantly being told how ugly she was, Constance now has literally no confidence, no self esteem and no self worth or self respect. She sees and believes all the flaws that were obviously put into her into after so many years and wants to change everything, from her lips, to her nose practicly her whole face, studying, working, saving, doing anything and everything she can to erase her "ugliness" Constance Briscoe is now a part-time judge, being the first black woman to sit as a judge in the UK, she practises and focuses on Criminal Law and Fraud. She also undertakes tribunal work, public enquiriesand acts as President of Mental Health Tribunals. She currently lives in Clapham with her 2 children and her best selling book Ugly reached number 1 in the UK This book is an exceptional insight to an emotionally tortured and tormented young girl/woman who has to face and over-come all of demons that haunt her. An outstanding toucing and insiring book, definately worth the read!!
