One of the first features that you are made aware of with this game is the fact that the game is Mii data compatible. This is a lovely way to again use/play with the mii’s that were creating them for games such as WiiSports and WiiPlay. This allows the game to store/save all your data in a student record books, which has your Mii face on it.

I am not a DS owner whoever I had played the game on a friends and enjoyed it and hence why I went out and bought it for the Wii. The game is approx £20, which is currently at the cheaper end of the gaming market and to a certain extent it needs to be. It is very similar in the terms of layout to the DS version, but I was expecting a lot lot more from the Wii version. I wouldn’t really call this a video game, more of a mental/brain task game. Like the DS version the solo game is spilt into ‘test’ and ‘practise’. The practice area is spilt into five separate areas categorised as "Think", "Memorize", "Analyze", "Compute" and "Identify". However thankfully the mini-tasks inside this categorises are very different to the DS and have been well thought through to maximum the potential of the Wii categorists.

The game is easy to play but is fun and challenging. Even for those who are not use to playing the wii can very easily pick up a WiiRemote and start playing. I was expecting this game to be a bit harder, but I very quickly got high scores and Gold Medals. (You complete a minigame and they give you a score, which is meant to be how heavy your brain is! You are then award Bronze, Silver and Gold Medals). You can able to then compare these scores with other players, and you can also send them over to your online friends so they can compare their scores with your scores.

The game has nice presentation, which is colourful and clear and a little bit like going back to school!. One major criticism is the time it sometimes take to cycle through from game to game. Because the Headteacher keeps talking all the time! This can be very annoying.

What saves this game is the fact that you can play on your own but even better there is a versus and co-op multiplayer modes that people of any age or education level to play together. This makes it great to play amongst friends, even if they have never played with a Wii before. There a 3 group games, some allow you to go head to head and other make you work together to see how many puzzles you can complete in a row.

In Summary – A RRP that is cheaper than the rest, a fun little game but think the shelf life isn’t really that good. Very much fun playing with friends. Defiantly worth ago if you haven’t already played on a Brain Training game before. Very suitable for ‘younger kids’.
