Advantages: Seems a good policy. Disadvantages: Let me down, just once.
...Vauxhall Insurance, is now underwritten by UK insurance Ltd, although it used to be another company, I will not name them, and certainly won't recommend them either.
I was insured by them for quite a number of years, until it came to renewing the policy that is. well, in the past I have always had the insurance automatically renewed every year without doing a thing. And this year proved to be the opposite, they just didn't renew it, and the first thing I knew was when I wanted to tax my car, and found that my policy had expired!
I rang the helpline, which was answered very quickly, and got the confirmation I had asked for. The voice simply said "You are not insured with us" This amazed me, after being covered by them for years, it turned out tjhey did not renew for no apparent reason. I of course needed insurance, so went to one...

Advantages: Price, service, friendliness, efficiency Disadvantages: Awful hold music!!!
...I received 2 years worth of insurance with Privilege when I purchased my new Nissan in the Summer of 1999. And mightily impressed with them I have been.
Obviously I have no premium to pay but when I asked them for a quote ready for when my free insurance ran out they were easily the best quote I received.

Advantages: Low Price Disadvantages: No service, cannot get through to customer service, information incorrect after 3 attempts

My wife had a no fault accident, tried to speak to someone on a mobile phone following the accident, constantly being passed around, left for over four and a half hours on the side of the road waiting for the car to be recovered. The phone bill exceeded £7.00, problems getting through to customer services, as per other reviewer's comment's, kept being passed around each passing the buck.
Three weeks later, still waiting for a response to my complaint letter. Be advised the company also is part of the Direct Line and Green Flag group. If they agree for the vehicle to be recovered it will be Green Flag, if you try to contact customer services, you sit in Direct Lines insurance quotation queue and pay for it. The company has also been informed on three...
