BillWyman, rock musician, somewhat controversial man-about-town and history buff? Everyone has a dark secret in their lives. And BillWyman's is that he is a closet metal detectorist. Well, not so much closet, now he has written this book!
Wyman relates how he bough his first metal detector in 1991, after a trying period in his life, and then spent many happy hours and days tramping round the fields surrounding his home in rural Suffolk. Always with the permission of the farmer, of course.

And so it goes on... perhaps the most impressive modern example given is the case of a charity match at The Oval where one BillWyman achieved a hat-trick consisting of Trevor McDonald, Charles Colville and Gary Lineker (whose one match for MCC against Germany had a familiar ring for him - "I always score one against the Germans," he said).
The bulk of Wisden's pages, of course, deal with rather more conventional cricket, and this year we can revel in a blow-by-blow account of England's sensational series victory against West Indies, wresting back the Wisden Trophy after more than "thirty years of hurt" (to coin a phrase). Advantages: Fantastic Book Disadvantages: Preffered by girls

I could tell that by the cover it was intentionally for girls in their late teens or even young women in the 20's. My mum even read this and she thoroughly enjoyed it. It is the type of book you just can't put down. This is the first book of four up to date. Once I found out there were more books in the sequence I had to buy them all. And up to now, as far as I know, there hasn't been a shopaholic book that I haven't bought.
I hope you really enjoy reading this review. The book is fantastic, Sophie uses the best form of humour. You end up giggling whilst reading. I will do another review for the second shopaholic book, then the third then the fourth!
