i was also suprised to notice the range of coverage was really good as it can reach up to 2 miles depending on the land, i found this particulaurly interesting ... ...the local shop and still as clear as can be.
included in this low price is a pod which charges them and two long life rechargable battery packsfor the handsets.
the functions of this set are
a scan function
a call function
an lcd display
and has 8 channels to chose from

I bought this for my daughter, aged 7, for Christmas last year. As well as using it for fun games around the house, we also use it when she plays out around the estate. It has been very useful to keep tabs on her, and to call her home at the required time. Because it's largely a toy, she doesn't mind taking it around with her.
These are very easy to use, with a call facility as well as a talk facility. There are 8 channels, which has been useful, ...
