As far as installation and user friendlyness is concerened I rate them high, they was very easy to install and the instruction manual includes everything you need to know. They are also very easy to use even after not really having a good glance at the manual. Much like a mobile phone, there are call and hang up buttons and a simple dial pad. There is also two select menu buttons and a 4 way directional pad. These buttons are easy to press and you also wont find yourself miss-clicking any buttons becaue they are too small. However, you may find yourself clicking them twice at the start because the reaction time of the phone is rather slow when compared to pressing the buttons. You soon get over this though, A clip is included on the back of them so that you can clip them to a belt if your going down the garden I suppose and a 3.5mm headphone socket for noisy environments, i have never used this though, I doubt anyone would find the need to.
As far as features are concerned, the range is pretty extensive. There are 20 ringtone melodys included but I have to admit most of these sound pretty prancy and rubbish. The ringer volume goes up pretty high and on that side of things works well. The background of the phone can be changed between about 3 images which is pretty boring, and the phone can be named such as 'kitchen' and 'front room'. I called mine a rather silly name for fun. Calls can be logged and looked up for further reference, but you can't look up any calls made which is annoying. It provides SMS functionality and a phone book for storing multiple details about your contacts. An extra menu is also inlcuded with a calendar, countdown timer and a few really really boring games. Which you will find yourself playing when very depressed about something.
The only things I am dissapointed with is the battery talk time and reception. Yeah they do their job ok but it could be better. When someone rings the living room phone rings first, and it takes around 3 seconds for the others to ring. Also, if the phones that are not i the living room are answered, the main living room one proceeds to ring for around 3 seconds again. This is rather annoying. Also the battery when talking lasts around 1 and a half hours which I think could be longer.
Other than that the reception is good when it stops ringinf and I would rate this high.
Overall though a nice set of funky phones to have which are good value for money.
Advantages: Great little phone Disadvantages: None at the moment
Our old cordless phone was not working properly, so started the search for a new one.
The BinatoneSymphonyG10 digital cordless phone, has all the standard features you would expect from a cordless phone.
This is a digital phone, with a handset, and base. The base is the charger unit, and has a paging facility to the handset..
The handset has a coloured screen, with 4 wallpapers, that are not really that inspiring, and you do not have the option of turning them off. When an incoming call is recieved if you have caller display, the telephone number will be displayed, and if you have the number stored in one of the 200 places in the phone book, the persons name will also display.
The phonebook, can store upto 200 names, and has a place for home, mobile & other phone numbers.
The handset has 40 ringtones, most of which ...
