Advantages: Crisp, clear image and wonderful image stabiliser.
Disadvantages: Expensive and could be waterproofed.

Too many stars!

Advantages: Good field of view, but with reasonable magnification.
Disadvantages: Weight, and eyecups letting light in from the side.
