Advantages: none Disadvantages: doesn't mix well in liquid, no refunds given
I bought a tub of Biocare Calcuim Plus directly from BioCare. It was expensive, but I don't mind that if I'm getting a good quality product. Unfortunately 'good' and 'quality' are not words I'd associate with this product.
The instructions on the packet are to mix 1 teaspoon with some liquid. Sounds simple enough, but the trouble is, no matter how hard I tried, the grainy powder would not mix in properly, it became a soggy grainy mess and sank to the bottom of the drink. My children (who this product was bought for) will not touch the stuff.
Another point to note is that although BioCare recommend 1 heaped teaspoon per day, this only provides 200mg of calcium. Now, calcium requirements vary according to age and gender. My 9 year old son for example would need about 1300mg, a younger child might only need 800mg, but either way, if ...
Advantages: Good value for money, increased workout choices Disadvantages: Limited target settings
After using the original Wii Fit game for about a year, I found the Wii Fit Plus to be a big improvement, and good value at only £20. It automatically transfers all your saved data from the Wii Fit so you don't have to start over.
I found the major improvement to be the facility to program a workout, rather than just being able to do individual exercises as before - it means a much better workout overall as you don't have to keep stopping and selecting exercises. You can either select a preset workout from the menu or customise your own using your favourite bits.
There are a number of new excercises present as well which I found great as I did start getting a bit bored with the limited selection on the original Wii Fit.
The calories/target section is a bit of a let down, you can set a target for calories to burn each day but these are ...
Advantages: fun, easy to use, great for kids Disadvantages: it's not enough to cause a large weight loss so if thats what your hoping for try something else.
The new wii fit plus comes with a variety of new games and settings including being able to target specific body areas. This game is a fun extension of the orginal wii fit, it has all the same features with some added extra's so if you don't already have wii fit there's no need to buy it just the wii fit plus and the board. I recommend wii fit plus for keeping the kids and adults entertained but not as a fitness program. The new games are highly entertaining with the same fromat as the orginal wii fit so it's very easy to use. The new routines are a great new addition because you can put in a target area and there are 3 activities that are specific to that area, or you can make your own routines for a training programme or just if you want to 3 games in a row so yout dont have to keep stopping between playing.
Overall though FUN ...
