I am not an insomniac, but I do suffer from loss of sleep from time to time. Who doesn’t? I got very irritable, (as friends and family may tell you!) so I decided that it was worth trying something to try and get myself to sleep. I did not feel that I should try any man-made drugs at the relatively young age I was at (17) as I was not sure whether it would be totally safe for me to, especially as I did not want to consult a doctor. I thought that a herbal remedy was the best option, and this was the one I took.
I went into my local Holland and Barratts store and asked which was the most recommended herbal medicine for sleep. Pointing me in the direction of the ValerianRoot container I was impressed that the assistant knew what was what. The other remedies that accompanied Valerian on the shelf looked less presentable ...
