Ok, firstly... Why did I buy this oil.... Well I have a scar on my arm, which I gained in a not so pleasant manner... So if I was able to reduce it's appearance anyhow, then that would be good!
So I had a look on the internet to see what might be able to be done..... I found a product called Cica Care I think which was some form of sheet you put over the scar, however this was about £60 - £70 so I didn't take it any further...

That was several years ago...

However I then strumbled across a leaflet, I don't remember where from.... On Bio-Oil....
It sounded promising, claiming to reduce scaring.
Lost the leaflet, but then noticed it on promotion in a local pharmacy so though good oh, I'll grab myself a bottle....

Ok so what is this stuff??

~ What is Bio-Oil? ~

Specialist Skincare, Bio-Oil was developed to reduce scars and stretch marks.

~ Who can use Bio-Oil? ~

Any person with any of the above complaints, should be able to use Bio-Oil as it is suitable for all skin types. (They actually tested it on people with sensitive skin!!)
Should not be used on broken skin.
Younger scars have a greater chance of improving, although it can be effective on scars over 20y ears old.
In a recent user trial it was reported by 82% of the people to improve the appearance of both old & new scars in only 4 weeks.

~ How do you use Bio-Oil? ~

It is very easy to use. I put it on when I have just dried from the bath... And then again before bed...
All you have to do is gently rub/massage the Bio-Oil onto the affected area.
They suggest a minimum use of twice daily for 4-8 weeks.
You can also use 4-5 drops as a bath oil.

~ Would I recomend Bio-Oil to other users? ~

YES!! Deffinatelty.... I found that when I actually got in the habit of using it regulary my scars started to fade... I've not been using it that long so I don't know how effective it will be eventually but I could see a difference within the first few weeks of regular use...
