Being Jordan - Katie Price ; Mo
Advantages: Good quality pictures, interesting chapters. Disadvantages: A bit of a kiss and tell!
'Being Jordan' - Katie Price brought out in 2003, is the excellent book by the UK's number one glamour model. The autobiography is a story of the glamour girls early life, on persuing her model career and the disturbing memories of some of the photographers she worked with. Katie's 'Being Jordan' is more like a novel more than autobiorpahy, if you love Katie Price then you'll love this book! The book also shares the tales of the relationships she's ... ...with Peter Andre! Also including her heart breaking learn of her first son Harvey's illness, and how shes coped. If your a girlie girl, then you will very much enjoy this book. The books her first autobiography and prooves that life can have an happy ending! Katie Price is like marmite ; You will either love or hate her. In my opinon, she's facsinating and reading her book shows that not all stars have the 'perfect' life and how to battle with your ...

McCourt's Silver Lining
Advantages: Quick paced story that will keep you intrigued Disadvantages: Stream of Conciousnes writing style may be too disjointed for some readers
...Such was the case with Angela's Ashes. As a true lover of fiction, I had not ventured into the world of non-fiction for quite some time. Angela's Ashes impressed upon me that a story is all the more poignant when it has happened, and when the author has felt all the pain, the sorrow and the joy of his words. Non-fiction is often equated with truth, but we must remember that autobiographies are not fact such as you would find in a history book. For ... ...that you get in reading Angela's Ashes. The most beautiful thing about this personal narrative is that somehow, in the end, despite all the suffering McCourt endures, it is a joyful recount of a childhood. McCourt's book is depressing simply by the recounting of events in his life--twin brothers dead in Ireland, the one girl McCourt dead in the U.S., a Father's abandonment and adultery with the drink. By all accounts this should be the most horrible ...

Have the Kleenex out, you'll need them.
Advantages: A spell binding book that you can't stop reading. Disadvantages: Very distressing and graphic
...I have decided to write a review of the book. The book is first part of the trilogy written by Pelzer of his life, 'The Lost Boy' and 'A Man Named Dave' finish the trilogy. . I cannot say that this is a 'good book' - it is terrible, depressing, heartbreaking, harrowing and yet it took me only a couple of hours to read it because once I started reading it I literally could not stop. The story ( written in the words of a child) - actually starts with ... ...worse is that this is a true story that tugs on your heart strings. This book tells of what is classed as "one of the most severe child abuse cases in California history". The story of Dave Pelzer, who was brutally beaten and starved by his alcoholic mother. This book chronicles David's life with his mother from the age of four to twelve. Up to the age of four David had a good family life with his two older brothers, his Fireman father, Steve, and ...

Girl with a many track mind reviews the seductress next door.
Advantages: Couldn't put it down... Disadvantages: Not a sequel...
The first thing i guess i should say is that i am an extremely slow reader and it normally takes me months to read a book. However, this book took me just under two weeks to read. I felt that this is definately a book that i couldn't put down. The story line is simply brilllaint full of laughter and also extremely sexually explicit which is a great thing if you're in to the sort of Belle-de-Jour sort of book like a handful of women are. I would thoroughly ... ...definatley a pleasure book and will leave you rather excited in more ways than one. The only problem i have with this author is that she hasn't made another book like this. The tone of this book is seriously fun and definately flirty i would say that this is a great summer read however you don't want to be far away from a discrete area and iff you can make sure you're partner isn't too far away... ...

Fascinating Insight.
Advantages: Well-researched and analytical. Disadvantages: At over 400 pages some people might find it rather long.
"The Duchess of Kent The Troubled Life of Katharine Worsley" by Mary Riddell is a fascinating indepth analysis of the life of the present Duchess of Kent. The author analyses the forces which shaped the character of the young Katharine from her privileged upbringing in Yorkshire to her unhappy marriage overshadowed first by the domineering presence of her mother-in-law Princess Marina, then darkened by the stillbirth of her last child, mental breakdown ... ...of the book deals with the Duchess's conversion to the Catholic faith and the effect this had on her life, both personal and public. Also the author examines her relationships with members of the Royal Family and draws parallels between this and the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. I found it an insightful read. ...
