Pushed to the Limit is the new auto-biography by Jordan / Katie Price. Having read her previous ones I really was hoping that this book was better than the last and I am pleased to say that it was. The cover of the book has a white background and a picture of Katie holding her head and the title in white lettering at the bottom and her real name in pink lettering at the side. The back cover of the book has a black background a has a full picture ...
...The book consists of 18 chapters with the first starting on Christmas Eve with this being Juniors first Christmas. Katie goes on to talk about how bad and depressed she felt after having given birth to Junior and how she was diagnosed with postnatal depression. As the book moves on she talks very openly about how her depression was ruining her life as everything was getting on top of her. We learn about how it affected her relationship with Peter ... The first thing to say is that although you might find the book in the autobiography section of any good book shop, that is not really what it is. ...people saw the crash shown on TV they could hardly think he would survive let alone recover so well. That is what makes this book such a moving and involving read. One of the things you really gain a sense of from the book is how close knit Richard Hammond's family is. It takes a very special type of person to sail round the world, it taken serious guts, belief in yourself and a whole lot of trust in you support team, cos your stuck out there in an ocean where if it all goes wrong theres no paramedic for 2000 miles and you are the only one who can help yourself out. Its well written with a good selection of pictures and humor to offer some insight into this amazing woman and her life competing in what is considered to be the worlds toughest yacht race. She is an inspiration and and this book will inspire all of those with an adventurous side to grab the next flight to africa to trapse through the jungle.
