A Compelling Story
Review of Long Walk to Freedom - Nelson Mandela by ICATJAM

Advantages: Informative
Disadvantages: Inexperienced readers may find it long and linguistically difficult

At last I found the quality time in my life to read the story of this living legend. The story of just a man but a man with the strongest convictions of any man in history. A man who lived through his imprisonment to see his dream begin. I say begin because as we know there are still many injustices in his country which are not yet ironed out. Mnay things have been said in previous reveiws and I shall not attempt to repeat them. i only say that this ... Read review

Review of Who Does She Think She Is? - Martine McCutcheon by little_miss_sunshine1982

Advantages: good reading
Disadvantages: none

While clearing some stuff out recently, I came accross this book. I first read it a number of years ago whne it was first realeased and decided to have another read. I don't know why I originally decided to read this book, as I am not particularly a huge fan of Martine McCutcheon, but I am glad I did. Admittidly she is quite young to write an autobiography, so you would think that she doesn't really have much experience on lif or her career at the ...
...is written in such a way that you culd actually imagine Martine speaking and telling you her story, she is so down to earth and it gives you some insight into her life form growing up as a child to the present day. There are also a number of photos included from various points in her life. Martine tells the story from when she was born. She was born into one of the least promising backgrounds and spent most of her childhood with her mum on the run ... Read review

The Show Stopper Comes Clean
Review of Heartbreak and Triumph - Shawn Michaels by Andy.mack

Advantages: A very thorough, honest look at his life and career
Disadvantages: Becomes a Little too religious towards the end, but not too much of a bad point

I've been a big fan of WWE wrestling ever since we first got cable TV at home back in the early 90's. Of course my enthusiasm and desire to watch it has lessened over the years I used to watch it every week without fail. Around about the same time Shawn Michaels was really starting to make a name for himself. He was one of the first wrestlers I really started to support, even though he was being portrayed as one of the bad guys, or heels as he refers ...
...his autobiography I decided to borrow it off her and give it a read. I had heard that a couple of the wrestling books in previous years had been pretty good but this was actually the first one I'd gotten round to reading. The book looks at a number of aspects, from Shawn's early life, through his career to date and also how his personal life was going throughout. I also thought that he gave a good insight into how professional wrestling or Sports ... Read review

Superb from take off to landing.
Review of Chickenhawk - Robert Mason by awaykitcom

Advantages: Told with honesty, without aiming to be emotive
Disadvantages: None

Chickenhawk is a frank account of the life of an army helicopter pilot, from his time in basic training until the end of his time in Vietnam. Robert Mason writes with great skill about his personal experiences and is not afraid to be brutally honest. As a result, Chickenhawk is a wonderful and refreshing read. Mason gives some wonderful insights into every detail of both army life and helicopter piloting. He explains the physics behind keeping ...
...then until I discovered Chickenhawk and it's reignited the love of non-fiction in me again. I was given the book by a friend so I'm afraid I cannot comment on price or availability as I've had no first hand experience. I believe he bought it from the internet. ... Read review
