Car Fever or Car Bore? You Decide
Advantages: It passed the 2 and a half hour flight Disadvantages: Doesn't really do what it says on the tin, rambles off on a tangent too often
...While I appreciate these are car articles he goes too deep into the mechanics at times and that becomes increasing more boring the further into the book you get. In fact as you read through the articles his writing style is almost identical to his spoken presenting style and as I read 2 or 3 articles I could feel myself drifting off to sleep. With other books of this type I've always found them easy to dip in and out of or read continuously depending ... ...than I do about the car related subjects he's actually meant to be writing about. There were times when I could have sworn the book was being sponsored by Fiat given the number of articles he mentions the Fiat Panda seems to get. Overall I have to say I'm disappointed with this book. I'd not previously read any of James other books and I do still intend to try some of them but if he releases anymore compilation books I will avoid them like the plague. ...

Andre Agassi, and all of his charms
Advantages: Mostly Disadvantages: Nothing loud
...French Open 199. Australian Open: 1995-2003: A four Title Record 2004: Most consecutive match victories: 26 2000-2003: 3 titles in 4 years (along with Roger Federar) 2000-2001: 2 consecutive titles. THE BOOK: Andre Agassi typically begins his book with his mindset in his match against Baghdatis in 2006 US Open. He vividly describes this match ball by ball to give a first hand look into the building up of a high strung tennis player before delving ... ...obsessive father, his upbringing, his friendships (especially with Phil and Perry), his priorities. In fact the whole of the 423 page book is narrated with honesty and conviction which can be associated with his fierce brand of tennis. After going through the book I thought Agassi has been very eloquent and honest about certain facts which remained controversial and a point of media attention throughout his career and things which still bugs him ...

* Coleen Gets Upfront and Personal! *
Advantages: Honest , Funny Disadvantages: Sad Parts!
...in women's magazine 'Woman'.
Upfront and Personal is the new autobiography from Coleen Nolan ; released in the United Kingdom on 2nd October 2009. The book is three hundred and twenty pages long and is available to buy from Amazon for a price of £3.95.
I absolutely loved reading this book! It is certainly a page turner! In this book , Coleen comes across as a real genuine and down to earth woman. She isn't afraid to say what she thinks and I thought ... ...a lot of personal facts which I had not known before. Obviously that's what autobiographies are for , but by my previous point , I feel that Coleen's book really does reveal information that fans may not have known before , unlike Katie Price's autobiographies which only have the information which has already been out before , and because she does so many interviews in celebrity magazines , I have heard her views and opinions on almost everything ...

A dark side in the showbiz story
Advantages: Interesting and sometimes poignant story, sensitively and well told Disadvantages: The Nolans have never been that hip - but don't let that trivialise the more serious issues
To most of us, the Nolan Sisters probably conjure up wholesome cheesy visions of TV light entertainment shows, 'I'm In The Mood for Dancing' (top three early in 1980), and the wholesome image of a squeaky-clean family act – rather like an Irish female version of the Osmonds, perhaps. But scratch almost every showbiz story, and somewhere there's going to be darkness. So it is in this case. There were eight Nolan children, two boys and six girls. Anne, ... ...seems to have enjoyed a relatively normal, happy childhood until she was seven, when she spent a year in hospital with aches and pains immediately below her knees – a condition which was never diagnosed or completely cured. Far worse, when she reached the age of eleven, was the sexual abuse which she had to endure from her father. It was clearly not an isolated episode, and the description of her mixed reactions to something she was obviously not ...

A life of Deedes which almost spanned the century
Advantages: Lively, entertaining and well-written Disadvantages: None really
Bill Deedes holds the distinction of being, so far, the only person in Britain to be at different times both a cabinet minister and editor of a national newspaper. He had a remarkably packed life as a journalist, and was a close observer of several world issues, from the Abyssinian war in the 1930s to the Darfur crisis of the 21st century. It is that career, rather than his political one, for which he will probably be remembered most.
Born in 1913, ... ...press. At the age of 18 he joined the ailing Morning Post, which was on the point of being merged with the Daily Telegraph. As an army officer during the Second World War, he was awarded the MC, but like many others who saw action at that time the experience left him profoundly disillusioned with ‘the damned papers’, and their pretending most of the time for propaganda reasons that the war was as good as won.
Elected Conservative MP for Ashford ...
