My personal veiws....
Review of Just a Boy - Richard McCann by crackpotjen

Advantages: Enjoyable and can keep you occupied all day
Disadvantages: A few chapters are not acceptable for narrow minded people

I have totally edited this reveiw. It is my first reveiw and noticed i can make it alot better and thanks to everyones suggestions, i have decided to edit it completely. This book is about a boy who, at an early age, loses his mother. She was the first victim of the Yorkshire Ripper. He and his sisters go and live at an orphanage until their father turn up and they go and live with him. In time, the boy grows up and has many experiances in life. ...
...can't talk about his mothers death as his father banished anyone ever talking about it. He's still trying to come to terms with his mothers death and has no one to talk to. However, he still manages to move on and this proves to others that life does go on. This book is avaliable at all good book shops. I got mine from WHSmith and is £6.99 ... Read review

Exciting Insightful book
Review of James Dean Boulevard of Broken Dreams - Paul Alexander by LADYFUCHSIA

Advantages: Detailled and insightful
Disadvantages: Slightly long in parts

I agree with the previous review that after reading several biographies this was far more indepth, shocking and exciting. There are several biographies that portrayed Jimmy as a Brad Pitt pin up of his time, however he had quite a complex character. This book tells you about some interesting charcters he met in New York and then LA including Marlon Brando who was a hero to Dean, it shows how driven he was to becoming an actor. It details the many ... Read review

A Whole new book about her love for Peter
Review of Jordan: A Whole New World - Katie Price by sewbizzie

Advantages: She talks indepth more about Harvey's medical conditions
Disadvantages: Way Too muich about her and Peter in bed and how much she loves him

A Whole New World is another instalment in the life of Katie Price or Jordan. I read one of her previous books and was very surprised at how down to Earth and how hard she worked to achieve what she had. I was expecting the same greatness from this book. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The book has a picture of Katie on the cover and the title in small letters at the bottom. Down the side of the cover is the name Jordan, this has been put there ...
...entirely by Katie and not by her working status as Jordan. The back of the book has another picture of Katie lying on a pink background with some quotes by magazines saying what a good book this is. THE BOOK AND MY OPINION There are 9 chapter in the book. The first chapter is solely about her time coming out of the jungle and how hard she tried to get into contact with Peter Andre so she could tell him just how she felt about him. She talks about ... A Banoffee Pie Biography
Review of Jeremy Clarkson: The Biography - Gwen Russell by markd_uk

Advantages: It's about Jeremy Clarkson
Disadvantages: Spelling mistakes, poor grammar, repetition, bad prose - they all destroy a good read

Jeremy Clarkson is the roguish motoring journalist and TV presenter many love to hate. For almost twenty years now, Clarkson has been making headlines with his controversial points of view, witty retorts, salacious references and contentious pieces of automobile journalism. Larger than life, both in stature and society, Jeremy Clarkson has made a successful career by saying the wrong thing at the right time. It would be reasonable to think, then, ...
...then. The book. Jeremy Clarkson - The Biography. And it has to be said that, if I were Clarkson, I'd be a touch embarrassed. It's a bloody shame that it's not an autobiography; a book about himself, by him, would undoubtedly be much more interesting than what we've got: a book about him, written by somebody else. Gwen Russell is, apparently, a successful journalist specialising in the celebrity circuit. Unfortunately, this book does not do her ... Read review

Tough kid Jodie
Review of Jodie Foster: The Most Powerful Woman in Hollywood - Philippa Kennedy by badgirl99

Advantages: Find out more about Hollywood's most private star
Disadvantages: It's not written by Jodie herself

...of my "slight" adoration of Jodie Foster. Only recently did I get round to reading one of the many biographies written about her. The simple reason I chose this one over the others is because I got it from the library and it was the only one they have. However, having read this one, it’s started me off so I do now intend to read the others bit by bit. But for now, it’s all about Philippa Kennedy’s version of Jodie’s life and I thought the best way ...
...into Brandy's life from before Jodie to after. She married Lucius Foster in 1953 and Jodie was their fourth and final child together born as Alicia Christian on 19th November 1962. Lucius and Brandy split up before Jodie was born so her brother Buddy saw himself as the man of the house. At the time, he was the one earning all the money by making commercials and TV series. He was a budding star but the changeover took place when Jodie went with him ... Read review
