The Bionaire BAP 615 is an excellent air purifier.

After having it on for just a few minutes when I bought it, the air was noticeabley cleaner and cooler.

The Bionaire BAP615 works with a 2 stage filtreation system. Air enters the purifier through the grills in the front, where dust and other large particles are immediately caught by the carbon filter.
Air then passes through to the HEPA filter where 99.9% of bacteria, dust and other airborne alergens are filtered.

One thing that I did find is that the Carbon filter (costing about £6) needs changing regularly, about once every month, even though the manual and product description both say it only needs changing on an average of 3 months.
The HEPA filter can last anywhere from 6 months to a year, depending on how much the purifier is used. I have not had the filter for more than 6 months though (the HEPA filter is still full and I have had it now for 2 months) so I cannot comment on that.

I bought the air purifier because other people in my family smoke and I cannot stand it! The Bionaire BAP615 does an excellent job in eliminating tobacco odours and the passive smoking effects that go with it.

Almost every review I read on the Bionaire BAP615 before purchasing it a few months ago said that it was noisy. I agree with this, but it isn't as noisy as some people make it out to be.
When the filter is on the 'sleep' or even the 'low' setting you can still hold normal conversations and listen to the TV. Anything above this though and you will have difficulty though.

I would definitely recommend the Bionaire BAP615 to any potential buyer.
