Advantages: Remove dust and unpleasant smells from rooms. EXCELLENT. Disadvantages: Filters are difficult to purchase, but not impossible.
I bought the BionaireBAP242 Compact Air Purifier with Ioniser in 2005, and I have just bought another which is why I am writing this review.
It's an excellent product, and serves it's purpose brilliantly. After a few hours of use, you can feel the difference in the quality of the air. I find that it works best in a room where the door is closed. There are many reviews which state that the air purifier does not do what it's supposed to do, I beg to differ. It just needs to be used correctly (that is, in the correct area of the room, etc).
The filters, which need to be replaced every 6-12 months, can be purchased over the telephone (the number is in the instruction guide), or from various sites online.

British Summertime came briefly last week and in true British style it has now disappeared almost as fast as it arrived.
