Practically Perfect in Every Way.
Review of McVitie´s Digestive's by minimunchkin

Advantages: Tastes delicious, dunkable, slightly crunchier.
Disadvantages: Hmmm...I suppose slightly more expensive than some others.

Digestives are without a doubt superior to all other biscuits, cookies and cakes for dunking in the perfect cup of tea. Ok, they do go a bit soggy sometimes and you sometimes find them when you get to the bottom, but the end is worth the means. It is, therefore, imperative that with the perfect cup of tea comes the perfect digestive, as tea is one of the few areas in which the British excel, and as far as digestives go, McVities are the best. Not ...
...than some other (very slightly cheaper) brands, they are also slightly darker around the edges, which seems to have made them crunchier (therefore less likely to fall into your tea) and somehow gives them a little more of that Digestive taste, without them being too sweet, therefore they are also very good with a nice bit of cheese... ... HobNob Lights, Lighter on calories not on taste
Review of McVitie´s HobNobs by Catw0man

Advantages: Same great taste as the originals
Disadvantages: They are just too delicious!

I love McVitie's HobNobs, they are addictive, tasty, and well to be frank rather fattening! Now you can get McVitie's HobNobs Lights, they are lighter on the calories but definately not light on taste! The calorie content of each of these biscuits is 62, rather than over 90 for the original HobNobs. The fat content is 2.2g per biscuit according to the packaging this is 25% lower than McVitie's HobNobs. So does this meant that for every original biscuit ...
...the lights?? Not a phenomenal reduction in the fat content, but a reduction none the less, which can't be bad when they are as yummy as the originals. They also contain no hydrogenated vegetable oil - always a good thing. They are high in fibre, have no artifical flavourings or colours, and contain 70% oat and wholemeal goodness. So effectively thay are good for you! I just love eating them with a little bit of cheese to really bring out their flavour, ... Read review

Maryland Munchies!
Review of Maryland Choc Chip Cookies by SweetTooth93

Advantages: Delicous biscuit, cheap, easy to find
Disadvantages: Un-protective packaging, fat content

...packet. These particular biscuits were Maryland Chocolate Chip Cookies. I used to take a packet of the mini cookies in my lunch box, but it had been almost 2 years since i'd tasted them. I grabbed a packet of the shelf, and was pleasently surprised with the price. For 150g, they costed 50p. I thought this was a great price for a brand name. Next to the 150g packet, there was a much larger 300g pack for £1.37. I decided against this as I knew if ...
...shiny look to the packet. MARYLAND was written in yellow writing along the front of the packet and next to this was a picture of a delicious looking cookie. Written about MARYLAND, it stated 'Choc chip 'n hazelnut cookies'. This was a surprise, and as Im not a fan of nuts, I was a little bit worried! The nutrition is written on the back of the cylander shaped packet. These are by no means a diet product. Although they contain 55 calories (not bad ... Read review

Bisc & M&M's
Review of Bisc & M&M's by Martinscholes

Advantages: Contains M&Ms
Disadvantages: Not as good as it should be

...part in a trial of Bisc & M&Ms. I waited for the voucher to arrive in the post and took them to the shops so that I could buy the Bisc & M&Ms for the special trial. I switched on my computer, logged on to the special website and, carefully following the instructions, I opened the packet of Bisc & M&Ms and began the special trial! I must admit that my first opinion of them was: "Oh! Is that all there is to them?" There is a very basic and less-than-exciting ...
...could think about with the Bisc & M&Ms was: "Yes, there ARE a lot of calories in this, and it really doesn't seem worth it, as it doesn't taste all that special." It is a pity as with a different biscuit (shortbread?) a white icing and chocolate covering for the biscuit under the M&Ms, this could have been the ultimate snack biscuit, instead it is an also ran. ... Bourbon cream biscuits
Review of Bourbon Biscuits by SweetTooth93

Advantages: Tasty, cheap
Disadvantages: nothing special about them !

...species that are known as bourbon biscuits. Well let me en-lighten you. The bourbon biscuit was first introduced in 1910 by the Bermondsey company Peek Freans. The biscuit is known as a sandwich biscuit. Basically what it is, is two thin chocolate biscuits, with a creamy chocolate fondant filling in the middle. I think these are quite similar to the Oreo cookie, but I think Oreo's are nicer. The two chocolate biscuits are normally 3cm x 6cm in length. ...
...are quite good for the Bourbon biscuits because firstly you get a lot in a packet, and I have found the biscuits are always of good quality, no matter what the brand. Nutrition If you want to be healthy, why are you eating biscuits? I often get annoyed with people who ask how many calories are in this cake, or is this biscuit fatty and so on. If you wanted to be healthy and cut back on the cals, you shouldn't have even looked at the treats, ... Read review
