Alpen Strawberry and Yogurt Bar.....gorgeous but not too naughty!

Advantages: Filling, satisfying, tasty, suitable for vegetarians.
Disadvantages: May contain traces of nuts.

Alpen Strawberry and Yogurt bars take the cereal bar genre to a new level, in my opinion. The bars are chunky and filling and just ooze fresh flavour. They are not just 'strawberry flavoured' ....you can actually see and taste chunks of real fruit as you chew. The Yogurt coating forms the base of the product and is also drizzled across the top. To me, the Yogurt has the texture of white chocolate and is a very pleasant addition to the bar. The ...
...as salt 0.08 g/r) Alpen produce a good range of other similar bars. These include: Fruit and Nut with Milk Chocolate Apple, Blackberry and Yogurt Fruit and Nut Raspberry and Yogurt The bars are sold in packs of five and are each individually wrapped for freshness. The pack itself is a slim cardboard box which can be recycled. ...

Review of Alpen Cereal Bar

good on the diet but not so good on the purse

Advantages: quick and easy snack . very light
Disadvantages: does not fill me up, pricey

I have tried the kellogs special k bars mainly strawberry and chocklate although the taste is nice a pack of 6 costs around 2.56 and if its other flavours its even more expensive. With only 6 bars that means spending this amount each week. The bars taste nice and are very light but it gets eaten up very soon and I can still feel very hungry even after I eat it. I would rather buy these when there is a promotion or when they have been reduced in ...
...option on the go but can be a bit heavy on the purse if you need to have these atleast three or more times a day.I would rather spend that money on bars which fill me up and not leave me hungry. Each bar is coated with oats and mixed with the flavour filling like choclate or rasberry. They can get sticky at times as I have often found them to stick around in my mouth, so a nono before meetings or conferences. I specialy like the rasberry flavour. ...

The yogurt certainly breaks

Advantages: Sweet, crispy, chewy -overallnice textures and flavours
Disadvantages: Not healthier than an average biscuit

I am reviewing the 'Strawberry' flavour yogurt bakes through there are other flavours in the range such as: Plain, Raspberry, Blueberry, Tropical Fruits and Forest Fruits. You can purchase 'Go Ahead slices' which are exactly the same except they do not have the yogurt on the top. These ones are available in: Apple and Sultana, orange and Sultana and Forest Fruit. You get 2 yogurt breaks per pack, which is green with a CG picture of the product on ...
...contains in the background. It describes: 'a delicious yogurt flavour topping on a light crispy biscuit with a sultana & strawberry flavour filling.' The packaging is handy if you plan to take them in a lunch box or on a picnic. The packaging is tinfoiled for freshness (as in, the shiny interior like a Neslte Kitkat bar). The product is basically a Garibaldi biscuit (topped with yogurt) which are rectangular light, crispy biscuits dotted with currents ...

Coco Pops

Advantages: Taste, healthy
Disadvantages: None

Coco Pops bars have me hooked ever since i tried them in ym old school canteen a couple of years ago. They are basically the coco pops cereal on the top half of the bar whilst the bottom half is milk but obviously in a solid form. The packaging is bright yellow so attracts the eye and has a picture of the monkey in a hat from the tv advert on it. There is also nutritional information in the back if you can take the time to read it. The bars can ...
