Victoria wasn't great, so I gave her the (chocolate) finger. Advantages: Some biscuits are nice, reuseable tin. Disadvantages: All the biscuits taste of orange, all are pretty much the same ...minutes. We've had plenty of McVities products before and they've always been nice, and I think McVities is a decent brand, however I do feel with this certain product that they aren't as good as other McVities products, but more on that later, as I have the VERY tough task that nobody wants to do....eating and describing the biscuits...yum....well for some of them anyway. THE TIN The tin that the biscuits come in is a darkish royal blue colour, ... ...the tin is the name, McVities and then in big gold writing 'Victoria', it then says 'A selection of luxurious milk, white and dark chocolate biscuits to make every occasion special'. Also on the lid are pictures of some of the biscuits inside. Around the tin is pretty much the same as the lid, the name and pictures of the biscuits. The Amazing JAFFA CAKES!!!! Advantages: Tasty, Slightly Filling, Not too expensive Disadvantages: Only 12 in a packet, once you start it's hard to stop Jaffa Cakes have to be one of those things that almost everybody loves. Though for a while I refused to eat them, because I thought they looked disgusting. What a mistake that was. ---The Jaffa Cake--- The Jaffa Cake itself is a cake made up of three layers. The first layer is the sponge base which covers the bottom and on top of that in the centre is an orange flavour jelly dish. A chocolate layer covers the top of the jelly circle and the sponge ... ...it really is just one of those treats you can enjoy over and over again. McVities have re-made the Jaffa Cakes with a strawberry flavour jelly, though I found these a bit too sickly as the orange flavour is just perfect when mixed with the chocolate and sponge. --- Packaging --- The Jaffa Cakes packaging is very recognisable with its bright blue background, and bright orange lettering on the outside. Penguin's done it again! Advantages: tasty Disadvantages: unhealthy Penguin These have been around for quite a long time now and they are made by Mc Vitie's! I always remeber these because I used to have them at school when I was a youngster and I used to look forward to lunchtime when I could eat it! What are they? Penguin's are a milk chocolate covered biscuit bar. Some people like to call them sandwich bars. How do they differ from other similar products? awesome choco-digestives Advantages: chocolate layer, healthy Disadvantages: 1.3 pound ...a pack of 400 gm mcvities milk chocolate digestives, I was compelled to write about the product. Awesome taste, great healthy food for offer. What else to have ? its pretty cost-effective too, with just 1.3 quid for 400 grams worth of healthy food biscuits. Makes you 'oatily' want more Advantages: Stands up to strenuous dunkage, of which i'm an avid fan. Disadvantages: Crumbly, makes a mess. Slender yet strong, crunchy yet moist, tasty yet healthy (in comparison to other biscuits). These are a few conflicting criteria which I have found have been compromised in place of the other in other biscuits. Not so with the Hobnob. This embodies all the sumptuous substance that pleases my taste buds, without the compromise. It absorbs without weakening the structure and doesn't have taste washed away in a tide of tea.
