...The Bissell Lift Off is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have owned. It has seven different height adjustments which means it can be used on different types of flooring from carpet (long and short pile) to real wood or laminate flooring, this can easily be adjusted using the dial at the front of the vacuum. It is very easy to operate if not a little heavy, this is made up for with the range of attachments such as extendable pipe, furniture brush and small suction pipe mean even the hardest of places can be reached, I have very high ceilings in my hallway and with using the pipe these are easily reached. In my opinion the Bissell is much easier to empty than a Dyson a sliding lever on the front of the vacuum is pushed to the side to release the container so that it can be emptied, this container is clear so you can see when empting... ...Just bought this model for £179.97 from Argos. On assembly it was a little tricky and the instructions were a little vague but we got there in the end. I have used it once so far and am quite happy with the results. Sure, it's going to use a lot of cleaning solution (which isn't cheap) but it seems to do the job and I am happy with it so far. I will do more with it over the coming days and report further. Now used it 2 or 3 more times and find it good value for money. It has removed even the stubborn high traffic stains in my lounge and I find that the only drawback are the tools included with it. They spray the water all over if you don't angle the head just right.... Read review

...the Marshall Ward catalogue, so it was delivered direct to our door. It comes with an easy-to-read instruction 20 page instruction booklet. This booklet is unique in my recent experience of instruction booklets in that it is easy to understand and use and does not come complete with page after page of multi-lingual instructions that merely cause misery and confusion to the hapless soul trying to understand how to use the equipment! (Individual language instruction booklets such as that which comes with the Bissell ProHeat II are the way forward, in my opinion. A little bit more expensive to produce? No worries!
