I saw this item on a TV home shopping channel. With having 3 dogs that come in with wet feet, throw up etc and carpets and tiled floors, I had ordinarily just paid for someone to come and clean the carpets twice a year, and would then be distraught when something happened and they were dirty the next week.
I wanted a lightweight easy to use cleaner, so ordered this. It was easy to set up, is easy to use, leaves the carpet fairly dry and very clean indeed, can be used on hard floors too (I used it on my tiled bathroom floor) as an attachment is provided, it can even be used to suck up spills.
Very simple to use, you just put the cold tap water into the bottle on the back, the cap is the measure for the cleaning liquid (came free with this product but normally costs about £15 and will last ages), put the water bottle back, plug in, and switch on - the switch I did find a bit fiddly to operate. Push forward and press the lever on the handle to release the liquid, let go of the lever when you pull back and the liquid is sucked up, simple.
If you have a spill you just want to suck up, don't put any cleaning liquid/water in, just switch on and draw back over the liquid.
The dirty liquid is stored separately and again is easy to clean out, two buttons to press and the reservoir comes out and can be tipped down the sink.
Put on the hard floor attachment and it will clean laminate/tiles etc in exactly the same way. Easy to clean out too which is an advantage.
Lots of different cleaning solution products available in different scents (we got lavender which didn't smell unpleasant or too strong) and that supposedly do different jobs eg deep cleaning, stain removers etc, but the general cleaning fluid we found did the job, removed mud stains, blood, dog urine and pasta sauce stains with no problem, from a cream carpet.
Ideal basic cleaner, simple and effective, very lightweight, I carried it upstairs with no problems, and has paid for itself in no time. Got quite long cord too so that you can easily do a whole room without moving round and plugging it in elsewhere. Not a big hi-tech things, and no attachments (except the hard floor piece) but if you want something fairly cheap that cleans well and is easy to use, this is ideal.
