Inside Bissell's Momentum upright vacuum cleaner a mini-cyclone spins, chucking the heavy floor and carpet debris into an easy-to-empty dirt cup and sucking the smaller particles up into the unit's efficient HEPA filter. Without the big stuff clogging up the filter and reducing suction as in other brands, the unit captures over 99.97 percent of particles like dust mites, pollens, and ragweed for healthier lungs and tidier rooms. With 12 amps of maximum cleaning power, the Momentum ensures powerful suction the full width of the unit's 15-inch cleaning path.
Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Heavy, difficult to clean, unreliable
...The first machine had to be replaced as it did not work properly and was unreliable after it had been back to Bissell and been repaired and some items replaced.. The second machine has already had parts replaced and the tank has perished. The cleaning of the machine is very difficult and there are too many small places for fluff to accumulate and cause problems for future use. The tank perishes instantly on first use and is then very difficult to refill (holding it open with a spoon!!) Bissell service department asre only open for very short times and only 2 people run the helpline. Although they are friendly and helpful, they have strict rules as to what they are allowed to do. I would not purchase another product from this company....

Advantages: Detachable body Disadvantages: Heavy when in one piece
...The Bissell Lift Off is by far the best vacuum cleaner I have owned. It has seven different height adjustments which means it can be used on different types of flooring from carpet (long and short pile) to real wood or laminate flooring, this can easily be adjusted using the dial at the front of the vacuum. It is very easy to operate if not a little heavy, this is made up for with the range of attachments such as extendable pipe, furniture brush and small suction pipe mean even the hardest of places can be reached, I have very high ceilings in my hallway and with using the pipe these are easily reached. In my opinion the Bissell is much easier to empty than a Dyson a sliding lever on the front of the vacuum is pushed to the side to release the container so that it can be emptied, this container is clear so you can see when empting...

Advantages: Works very well on your floors Disadvantages: None noticed
...The Bissell ProHeat is a truly wonderful device. We moved into a new house, recently. It was a show home and we were assured that it had been cleaned to a "high standard" by the cleaner who had worked for the developers for nearly 20 years. Well, doubtless she'd turned up every day, but I would be surprised to find out if she had done any cleaning throughout the entire 20 years. The carpet, in short, was decidedly grubby after been walked on by all and sundry for the two years that it had served as a show home.
What to do? Hire a carpet cleaner at £60 to £70 per day (plus the deposit) or buy a carpet cleaning system? We decided to go for the latter option and looked around for a carpet cleaning system.
After looking round and seeing what was available, we decided to plump for the Bissell ProHeat II. It cost is £168.00 from...

The Bissell Flip is very good! It is an excellent idea to use one appliance to quickly vacuum the floor then wash it over.
