I have had Bissell products in the past, and if this machines continues to do as well as its started, I can see no reason as to why I wont have from them in the future.

As a house proud women I highly recommend this product, especially for Family households, with kids and pets etc.

I needed a good carpet cleaner, as we are about to move home, and with having cream carpets through most of the house, it was either pay out good money for professionals, or do it myself with the best cleaner I could find on the market, and of course I can now take it with me.

Only used it once since buying it, from an online auction site, and to be honest its done the job superbly.

Quite a large bulky cleaner, but very nicely designed in a shiny black case and see through light purple water container. It arrived well boxed and was quite simple to assemble, most of it had already been done, simply follow the easy to understand instructions and clip it together, im no genius and it only took me a few minutes to sort it out.

The machine has two types of water containers, one inside the other, the inner is called the bladder, by unclipping the base compartment you will separate the water container, fill the bladder section with warm tap water and return it to the machine and clip in place, then lower the handle, which is on a hinge system and this then allows you access to the removable container that you put the cleaning solution in, once you have done that, simply return it back to machine clip it in, and your ready for action.

There is a built in heater system, which warms the water to 25 centigrade, as its warming, this is shown by an illuminated red light on the front of the cleaner, which goes of and adjusts itself accordingly to water temp. also on the front there is a variable setting dial, which has four settings, light ,normal, heavy clean and a quick rinse mode.

It works on a trigger release system, which you operate from a trigger by the handle, this releases the clean warm water, which systematically mixes with the cleaning solution and down onto your carpets, the brushes then help to lather it up and work deep onto the carpet. These are two heavy duty power brushes on the underside, with 12 brush rows for lifting the most stubborn of dirt, the head is also shaped well, so you get a real close clean right to the very edge of your walls or skirting boards.

The strong vacuum then sucks up the dirty water back into the outer container, to be tipped away at your leisure. This does take a little practise, working out how much fluid to release, and how much time you need to suck the dirty water up, as to not leave the carpets to damp.

It also comes with a hand held power head cleaner, for ease of reaching the awkward places, also ideal for quickly cleaning up any marks of fabric coated furniture.

Another extra is the scotch guard spray gun, simply fill the small white container with your scotch guard solution, this then attaches to the pipe and sends a fine spray across your carpet, but I haven't had the need to use this yet, so am unable to tell you how good it works.

Cleaning out the filled container is a simple process, just unclip when finished or container is full to its level, tip the waste away and rinse out with tap water and return it to the machine.

It is quite a noisy machine, so best not to use it while anyones in bed.

N.B you will need to Hoover your carpets first to remove any loose debris, this is only a carpet cleaner and as such not meant to do the vacuuming.

I haven't personally seen any around in the shops as yet, but that doesn't say there not available.
They are readily available on-line, from various outlets, also on major auction sites, look out for buy now prices, some are offering a much cheaper deal than others.
