No more back and forth with the spray can and wimpy dry vacuum to get out tough carpet stains. ProHeat's hot, cleansing formula and extremely powerful suction work together to quickly remove tough carpet stains and embedded debris in a single pass. Ten rows of powerful brushes agitate ground-in dirt and bring it to the surface, while a wide floor nozzle with a 12-inch cleaning path extracts all traces for spotless results every time. Innovative edge-sweep brushes clean flush with walls without scratching.
Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Heavy, difficult to clean, unreliable
...The first machine had to be replaced as it did not work properly and was unreliable after it had been back to Bissell and been repaired and some items replaced.. The second machine has already had parts replaced and the tank has perished. The cleaning of the machine is very difficult and there are too many small places for fluff to accumulate and cause problems for future use. The tank perishes instantly on first use and is then very difficult to refill (holding it open with a spoon!!) Bissell service department asre only open for very short times and only 2 people run the helpline. Although they are friendly and helpful, they have strict rules as to what they are allowed to do. I would not purchase another product from this company....

Advantages: does the job well Disadvantages: tools are not brilliant, but work Ok
...Just bought this model for £179.97 from Argos.
On assembly it was a little tricky and the instructions were a little vague but we got there in the end. I have used it once so far and am quite happy with the results. Sure, it's going to use a lot of cleaning solution (which isn't cheap) but it seems to do the job and I am happy with it so far. I will do more with it over the coming days and report further.
Now used it 2 or 3 more times and find it good value for money. It has removed even the stubborn high traffic stains in my lounge and I find that the only drawback are the tools included with it. They spray the water all over if you don't angle the head just right....

Advantages: Works very well on your floors Disadvantages: None noticed
...The BissellProHeat is a truly wonderful device. We moved into a new house, recently. It was a show home and we were assured that it had been cleaned to a "high standard" by the cleaner who had worked for the developers for nearly 20 years. Well, doubtless she'd turned up every day, but I would be surprised to find out if she had done any cleaning throughout the entire 20 years. The carpet, in short, was decidedly grubby after been walked on by all and sundry for the two years that it had served as a show home.
What to do? Hire a carpet cleaner at £60 to £70 per day (plus the deposit) or buy a carpet cleaning system? We decided to go for the latter option and looked around for a carpet cleaning system.
After looking round and seeing what was available, we decided to plump for the BissellProHeat II. It cost is £168.00 from...
