Advantages: easy to make, tastes good
Disadvantages: it's not homemadeWhat with being on a diet this gravy is great!
It come's in a red cylinder shaped tube with a foil lid and a plasic lid. It has the aah! Bisto logo on the front and is very recognisable on the shelf. In Asda it costs 98p for a 170g pot and £1.78 for a 360g pot.
Evn though you can't beat the taste of real homemade gravy Bisto is quite tasty. It's a dark brown colour, darker than the gravy I make, but it tastes pretty good. You can make it as thick or as thin as you like just by adding less or more water.I never used to buy gravy granules as we only had gravy with our Sunday lunch and that was always homemade. But since starting the Slimming World diet this has been a godsend. If you don't know how S.W works they have original days and green days where you either eat meats mostly or veg etc. Well I quite like the green days and usually eat quorn sausages as they are 'free', mash again 'free' and then I use 1/2 a sin for Bisto! As I have found eating like this and usin up my 'free' foods with little syn value items to go with it I am loosing weight!
