BlackBerry Curve 8530

I have had my Blackberry Curve 8530 for around 18 months. I have a very reasonable contract from Orange and I got this handset for free. When I choose it I knew I wanted a qwerty keyboard and no touch screen and the adviser from Orange recommended this model to me. When it arrived my first impression of it was not great. For a while I was given this phone by work as there were going to be times when I really would have to be at the other end of the phone. When I opened the Blackberry Curve 8530 my heart sank as it looked far too complicated for me. I had been used to having a phone that made calls, sent texts and let me take photographs that I struggled to download, but that was it. I found myself ordering this phone because i grew a distaste for touch screen. My first concern was the size of the buttons and how compact they were. After a day or two i found myself easily typing paragraph after paragraph. For a guy with big thumbs like myself , it was a breeze to get used to texting. The phone itself is very small and lightweight. it is smooth and sleek all around. The 320 x 240 pixel screen gives exceptional resolution. In my opinion this has been and still is the best phone I have used. I myself am an avid texter and this phone is perfect for that. I also enjoy the tracking pad instead of the normal track ball that was on some previous Blackberry models. This phone is easy to use also and has several different apps. that make it user friendly.
