I never thought that I'd like Blackberrys. I'd always say how I disliked the qwerty keypad and they're for older people. However, I have to say that this Blackberry has changed my opinion completely! I love all Blackberrys, especially this model!

~Appearance~

This Blackberry is good looking and you can chose the colour that goes around the edge. Choose from pink,purple,red and more! Blackberrys are known for their professional and business look, and it doesn't fail to disappoint! The phone looks smart, but yet fun! It looks very modern and the phone could be owned by someone of any age group. And me, being as clumsy as I am, I drop my phone a lot. But my blackberry is very strong and hasn't broken or even turned of when I drop it!

~Homescreen~

The home screen is very clear and easy to navigate around. You can chose your own wallpaper, or even add your own theme to personalise your phone! You can chose 6 options to go in your dock on your home page. I have 'messages, text messages, contact, browser, media and blackberry messenger because I use them the most and they are easy to find!

~Is it touchscreen? If not how do i navigate around the phone?~

No. The Blackberry Curve 3G is NOT a touchscreen. But it has a trackpad. The trackpad is very responsive and you can change the sensitivity of the trackpad to your perforation. There is no lag and its very easy to navigate around the phone! You can scroll up, down, left and right on this button and also press it to perform commands.

~'ve heard about BBM, what is it?~

Blackberry Messenger (BBM) is amazing! It's my favourite thing about my Blackberry! It's a social app where you can add your friends pin (if they have a blackberry) and you can chat to them for free! You can also be part of a group chat, send broadcasts to all your contacts, change your dp, add a personal message and send emotions. I saved a lot of money by using bbm (simply because all my best friends have a blackberry). However, you do need an BIS (blackberry internet service) to use this feature. There is also confirmation whether your messages have been read or not, so you can tell if someones ignoring you.

~Texting. Is it hard on the qwerty keypad? ~

I love texting on a blackberry. It is very easy to use. Some people say that typing on a qwerty keypad is very difficult and it puts them off the idea of having a Blackberry. I was once like this. Trust me, within a couple of days, you'll be typing away like a pro! It's just like typing on a computer, but the buttons are smaller! When i first got my blackberry, it took me a while to complete a message, now i can type a whole paragraph in a couple of seconds! There is a feature called 'push technology' which brings all your texts,emails and social networking messages together. This is really handy and i find myself using this feature a lot!

~Camera~

Once again, i was sceptical about how good the camera was going to be. I was so surprised! The Blackberry has a good camera! I'm always taking photos on my Blackberry of me and my friends!

The quality of the camera is amazing for this, but obviously it's not a professional camera, so I don't do any photography on it! But on an everyday basis, the camera is amazing and i find no need to carry a digital camera with me anymore! There are lots of different options to play around with. Also, you can send your photos directly to Facebook or Twitter, which saves a lot time for someone like me who is constantly sharing pictures on social networking sites!
The camera is 2.0mp, which doesn't seem like a lot, but it does the job! There is also fixed focus and a video camera which is great as well!

~Email~

Blackberry are known for a great email feature. It's how Blackberry got so big in my opinion. The email is very easy to set up no your phone, you just have to do a few simple steps. It's very smooth and easy to use. The email service is very fast and efficient and it very helpful. This feature saves you from going onto the browser and logging onto your email, which takes a much longer time.

~Phone and contacts~

Phoning people is really easy to do. You can go onto your contact list and phone your selected person. Or you can search the persons name and then press the green button. You can control the volume when you call someone and its quick. The other persons voice occasionally becomes quite muffled, but that's probably due to the area i live in.

~Criticism?~

I only have one complaint about this Blackberry and it's the appworld! Blackberry Appworld does not have very many apps at all to chose from. There are few games and few utilities that are actually worth getting. So if you're a person to love games and apps, I don't recommend a Blackberry. The apps are alright, but look awful compared to RIM's competitors (Apple and Android). Also, when you do a battery pull or turn your phone back on, it takes a long time to load!

~Screen Display~

The Blackberry has a 320x240 pixel colour display,which is very clear and shows colour very well! There is also a light-sensing screen and a user-selectable font size for those who need the font bigger all smaller. Overall, the screen is very clear and vibrant. I was very impressed!

~LED Lights and notifications~

I'm the type of person who won't hear a sound when I receive a text message. I simply won't hear it because I'm always in another world. But one of my favourite things about my Blackberry is that when i receive a text, phone call, Facebook chat/notification/tweet mention etc my phone will flash a colour (top right hand corner) This way I will actually notice when I receive a text and this also works on silent. There is a few apps on the appworld called "who is it?" and "Advance OS and LED" which allow you to change the colour of the flash for each person or certain feature. This makes the whole aspect cooler but also more useful because if you're doing something important and see your phone flashing, you can tell who it is of and if its important or not. For instance, if i receive a text message, my phone will flash green.

If i receive a BBM message, my phone will flash green and pink. If i receive a Facebook message, my phone will flash blue. But if i receive a text from my best friend or a bbm from her, my phone will flash purple (her favourite colour is purple, so it reminds me of her!) etc.

~Is the phone easy to use?~

The phone is well organised and easy to navigate around. Even my mum knows her way around my phone, and she's the worst person ever with phones! Everything is clearly laid out and easy to find. Most icons will be displayed in the tray, if not you can search for it!

~The internet and browser?~

In order to use to internet and all the blackberry services, I have to pay £5 extra a month (with vodafone. Price may vary depending on which network you are with). It's worth it though because you can do so much more with the phone!

~You've mentioned the phone has great features. What are they?~

The phone has lots of different features as i mentioned before. Some of my personal favourites are: camera, BBM, Calculator, Tasks, memos, gps, music, BBM Music Alarm Clock. These are all easy to use and have become an important part of my life!

Others include: browser, games (which i do not play. They are bad), Facebook, Twitter, emails, calculator, voice recorder, Wi-Fi and of course the 3G service.

~What is 3G?~

3G is simply the browser, but you can use the internet so much quicker! It makes a big difference and is on all the smart phones today!
~ * How Can I Protect My Phone? * ~

~Battery life~

Because I am a phone addict, I tend to charge my phone every night to ensure it will last me the whole of the next day. However, Blackberry phones have the best battery life out of every single phone that I have used in my life.

Standby time: Up to 19 days (GSM), up to 14.5 days (UMTS)
Talk time: Up to 4.5 hours (GSM), up to 5.5 hours (UMTS)
Music playback: Up to 29 hours

As you can see above, this is very good and lasts a long time! However, some 3rd party apps will drain battery quickly!

~Memory and storage~

The Blackberry comes with 256 MB Flash Memory. So it stores a little bit. However, I recommend purchasing a memory card because the phone has extendable memory with support for microSD cards. So you can get large amounts of memory on your phone (32GB is a lot).

The phone is rather small and slim. So it can fit in your pocket nice and easily!

~Multitasking~

A great thing about this phone is that you can multitask. You can manoeuvre between several apps at once. This is very easy and a great feature!

This phone is one of the cheaper Blackberrys, but also one of the best!
