We all own a vacuum cleaner and I have a Dyson but they are no good for reaching in those hard to reach places or doing the car unless you park your car right near the house, I also have the added need for a quick and easy way to clean up spills and crumbs from the babies when they are having their dinner. I am constantly having to either get the dustpan and brush out or the hoover so I decided to get a hand held vacuum cleaner. I looked online and after considering many different models the Black and Decker WV4850 seemed to be great value for money as at £19.99 it not only sucked up crumbs but had an attachment for sucking up spillages and an easy to empty dust/moisture container. I had used many different types of hand held and never really got on with them or liked the idea but at £19.99 I could not go wrong and I am so glad I ordered it now.
The hand held arrived promptly and I got it out straight away to give it a go under the kitchen table but that's when I realized it needed setting up and charging which was no problem at all following the easy to set up instructions supplied with the hand held. As well as the handheld and it's accessories for getting in tight spots it came with a brilliant charging base which can be fixed to a surface or to the wall, for ease sake I attached to the wall as I knew if the kid's get hold of it then it wouldn't last five minutes. I set it up near my microwave and plugged in the charging base and slipped the handheld on for charging. I had to wait until the next day as it said best charge for 16 hours before use.
The next day after lunch I thought I would take it off and give it a go on the kid's lunchtime mess, it was so simple just turn on and suck up and it was a lot more powerful than I expected it to be having no problem picking up bits of solid food and collecting them in the storage box at the back. After I had finished I simply unclipped the back container and emptied it in the bin before rinsing out the container and placing it back on the unit. The accessories were very easy to change as well just clip it of and place the new fitting on the best of the accessories being the long thin nozzle which I found brilliant for getting down the side of the chairs in the car, you know that little space where all your money goes I recovered £3.80 that's nearly a quarter of the cost so paying for itself lol.
If I was to pick out a down side it would have to be that the maximum on time for the handheld is only 8 minutes but I find that as long as I use it and then place back on the base unit I never seem to run out of charge unless the car is particularly dirty which with five children and a very messy wife is quite often. Another accessory I use very often is the wet head which I use when the kid's spill juice or make a mess on the carpets and laminate flooring it simply sucks the spillage right out however as I have found out if you forget to empty the spillage your storage container can become very yucky and full of gunk as water and dust don't make a nice combination.
All the accessories are simply clipped into the charging base keeping them all in one place and away from the kid's. Suction in all modes is very good and a lot stronger than I expected however after about 6 minutes use it does start to fade as you get to battery running low, there is a warning light when the battery id dying so you know when to whack it back onto the charger base.
Being cordless you can take it anywhere however bear in mind that you only have about 8 minutes of suction available so you may find that you need to charge it far more than you would like and the lack of a car charger is a little disappointing but for the price and the quality I am certainly not going to complain. The handheld itself looks very smart and modern where as many other models from different suppliers all seem to look cheap and tacky, I just say that not only is it stylish and very effective but also not hugely loud.
We are not talking about silent running at all it still makes a lot of noise but less than my Dyson. Should you find that you are having trouble removing some stubborn dirt such as dried in mud in the car then the power boost button will get it up along with gentle rubbing with the nozzle however this will reduce the running time of the handheld quite substantially. Below are the specifications so as you can compare and make an informed choice should you be considering buying this model.

Overall Opinion ---------------------
I would certainly recommend this handheld vacuum to anyone considering buying one, there are cheaper models available but if you want value for money then the Black and Decker is the one for you. I have had no problems with it in nearly a year now and it even comes with the standard 2 year Black and Decker warranty so peace of mind as well. It really does pay for itself in a very short amount of time you can even use it for bed's, sofas and cobwebs if you can reach.
I have found loads of money in the car and down the sofa so it has made me money lol. Most products you will compare this to will also be dry vacuum only so please also bear in mind that this is wet and dry vacuum when price comparing. Black and Decker have not let me down yet with any of their products I have bought and I strongly recommend this to anyone wanting a handy tool at a great price. I do hope this review has been informative and you have found out everything you need to know however should you have a question please leave it in my comments box below and I will respond as soon as I can, thank you for taking the time to read my reviews.
Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: re-charge often
...one day I spotted the Black and Decker Dust Buster in a sale for £9.99. The brand name persauded me to buy it as it seemed good value although I had no particular interest in using it.
The box has a clear description of the six dustbusters in the serious.
There is a 12v, 9.6v,7.2v,4.8v,3.6v and 2.4v. version.
MIne is the 2.4 v version.
When I opened the box and switched it on there was some power in it, enough to last a few minutes and try it ... ...the sofa. It is light to handle, clean and easy to wipe. There is a small hole on the end so you can hang up the dustbuster on a hook if you need to.
Black and Decker is a trusted brand so I expect this will last for a while. ...

Black & Decker DV 1205 Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner
With my conventional cord vacuum cleaner, my toddler used to stumble over the cord. He just loves to run around the house like crazy especially when I'm cleaning. He was fond of annoying me by pulling the plug from the socket as I cleaned at the center of the living room.
When my sister's vacuum cleaner died, I sold my cleaner to her for less than half the price and I decided to buy a cordless vacuum cleaner. I searched for a good cleaner in the internet and I ended up purchasing a Black & Decker DV1205 cylinder Vacuum Cleaner at £73.

Advantages: Wet and Dry Cleaning, reasonably priced and works great Disadvantages: none
there would be crisp crumbs or biscuit crumbs all over the floor. At this point I didn't really fancy lugging the vacuum back down the stairs again so I mentioned to my husband that I might see if I could buy a terminator type arm that incorporated a small vacuum along with various other tools that would come in handy!
A few days later Darren had been working near a large Asda and had decided during his lunch break to take a walk around, supermarkets are not normally his forte but with no DIY shops or garden centres near by this would be the next best thing! So on his expedition he spotted a hand held vacuum and thought that for £24.99 this would be a lot cheaper and a lot less hassle to buy than me having a terminator type arm fitted. So the Vacuum he got me was the Black and Decker NW 3660 Dustbuster which is capable of picking up ...
