I decided to obtain the Alligator as I had a number of overgrown and quiet wild Triffid like bushes that I needed to get rid of. I just wish I had known how quick and efficient it was, as I have become very popular with other members of my extended family, now they all want to borrow it.

In other words its for a gardener who does not see need to buy a petrol driven chain saw and have all the maintance problems that come with it. Such as mixing oil and petrol to the correct mixture. And when you have finished useing petrol driven chain saws they need draining off, otherwise they can be a hazard, and you allways have the smell of petrol in the shed or garage. So being electric its a lot safer.
I decided to obtain the Alligator as I had a number of overgrown and quiet wild Triffid like bushes that I needed to get rid of. I just wish I had known how quick and efficient it was, as I have become very popular with other members of my extended family, now they all want to borrow it.
How does it work, well as you can see from the image above its like a big 2 handed pair of scissors. To start, plug it in, I suggest and extension lead is used as the lead that it comes with is a little short. Holding the handles, there is a leaver on the inside of each handle that must be depressed together and the chain saw starts, open the jaws, and you are ready for action. I feel that by just looking a this saw its about as safe as you can get in the world of chain saws. Just open the jaws and close around the branch to be cut, no real effort required, its like a hot knife through butter.
Regarding maintenance, there are 3 oil points on the saw that require periodic oil. Checks should be made regarding tension of the chain, adjustment is very easy. Clean off the saw dust and thats it, hang it up in the garden shed (out of reach of little hands)
Now for the details,
It can handle branches or logs up to 4" or 100mm in diameter 550 w Weight about 4kg
I did not buy the saw, I used my Nectar Points and got it for free. But it can be purchaced for about £90 or less
Should I have and problems with the saw I will update this review
