I have a very useful Black and Decker Workbench and my model is WM 825 but there are other models you can buy. I think mine might be the middle of the range. It is like a vice on little legs and it is very handy. It is very heavy to carry about though and I tend to just keep it in one place in the garage. My neighbour will often use this as he does some DIY every now and again. I paid £70 for this years ago and it has come in handy most recently when I tiled my bathroom because it kept hold of the tiles for me while I used the tile cutter.

The workbench is easy to put up and down but I have it stored away most of the time now because I don’t tend to use it very much. I can use this as a workbench or a vice or as a bench tool stand so it is very versatile. It’s not pretty to look at but it’s not meant to be and it just stays in my garage. Sometimes my neighbour keeps it for long periods of time and I think he thinks I have forgotten he has borrowed it.

When I used it for cutting the tiles it did grip hold of them nice and firmly and it was very stable. It can also clamp strange shaped things and objects so it is very flexible and it has got swivel pegs which I find quite easy to adjust.

I also used it when I had to saw the wood for the alteration on the chicken coop and it held the wood nice and firmly. I should have used it when I used the angle grinder on the metal headboard on the bed I bought from Ikea but at the time I couldn’t get into the garage because everything was wet as there had been a leak.

It has come in handy quite a lot over the time I have had it and I can change the height as well which I found handy when I first bought it as it was set for a taller person and I am quite short. It is very versatile and useful and I recommend it to you.

I think your neighbour should get his own tools as he seems to borrow yours a lot :-)
