Featuring a metallic finish, clean lines and soft edges, the BlackBerry Curve 8310 smartphone is the smallest and lightest BlackBerry smartphone ever to come with a full QWERTY keyboard. It's packed with incredible features, including a camera, a multi-media player, built-in GPS, expandable memory, Voice Dialing, BlackBerry Maps and trackball navigation. Plus, you get all the core functionality you've come to expect in a BlackBerry smartphone - email and text messaging, instant messaging, web browser and advanced phone functionality. The BlackBerry Curve - it's your connection to everything that matters.
Advantages: instant emails, easy to use, slim Disadvantages: camera, quality of the music played back
...to remember to turn it off but with D900I I only have to program it to wake me up on the Saturday and it will be still be set for the next Saturday if I so choose so.
Browser
The internet is available but it's quite slow, a bit similar to my D900I but very slow compared to my old W880i. Though it does load the pages nicely but the older Blackberry's and new Curve8310 have the bigger screens so you can view it better.
Battery life
A really important thing for me. Because I'm sad and I don't get many emails, the battery life lasts for absolutely ages about 5 days but with a realistic use, it would say it would last 3 days maximum depending on what you're doing with it. You can charge it through the PC using the USB cable or the charger. In my box, I've got the English plug and the American one. I wouldn't have minded a European one as I...

Advantages: lightweight, customisable, multiple applications, camera, many more. Disadvantages: confusing and complicated at first
...The blackberrycurve is a sleek and lightweight business device. The large screen, simple menu and qwerty keyboard make using the curve a delight. At first the curve takes a bit of time and patience to get used to, but after a few days you will be fully complacent with its workings. The curve is an excellent device which can be customised to the users needs. The curve comes packed with useful applications and even one very addictive game. The camera is of great quality and good for every day use. Hundreds of applications can be downloaded to the device, via the Internet, including games, word processors and instant messengers making the experience even more personal. The sensitivity of the trackball is easily altered to give you the best feel for your needs. All in all the curve is a very useful device, great for both personal...

Advantages: first RIM with camera, easy to use qwerty keyboard Disadvantages: not much for how much it costs, limited internet and applications
...this is my current phone and i have had it now for 18 months. it is one of the easiest phones i have ever used. this is mainly due to the qwerty key board which makes sending texts and emails so much easier. the 'pearl' track ball is the best creation on a phone since the directional buttons. it allows you to move to your required application so much faster and easier. the internet isnt so good because of the small screen it makes it so much harder to read web pages. but of course if you want internet i advise ither the samsung f700 or f490 and the apple iphone. the othe good feature of this phone is that it is the first blackberry to have a camera. this allows business photos to be taken on site and send to the office imediately for use and creates and bridge between the once large gap....

I have always been adament that I would never have a Blackberry as they tie you to your desk and make sure that you can never take a day off work.
