This is a device which does three jobs at once. It will tell you where to go, where speed cameras are coming up and also where you are approaching a blackspot area. It has got the same tone for the speed cameras and the blackspot so when it does bleep you tend to glance at it to see which one it is. It is easy to use you can input your destination as a post code or as an address. It also gives you the speed at which you are traveling, the speed limit for the area you are in and your estimated time of arrival. You update it using your computer and the internet so that all the new roads and cameras are on it.
It gives you clear and precise directions we have only had one incident where it did not work and that was driving through Queensway in Birmingham. This is because I believe that it kept losing its signal in tunnels (which are all quite close together) and got very confused.
It has got a memory on it so that you can save your most used destinations such as you can save home, so when you need to go home you just select home and it will take you there.
You get a holder for it which sticks to your window screen, we broke the first holder because we were transferring between two cars but we bought a replacement from their website.
I am terrible for getting lost but this device does do the trick and when I use it I always end up at my destination (plus it doesn't get mad at you when you go wrong), and it is always handy to know where speed cameras and blackspots are.
I literally would be "Lost" without this device.
I hope this review is helpful
How helpful would this review be to a person making a buying decision? Rating guidelines
It would be a little more helpful if you could let us know where you bought it, and how much it cost (although to be fair, it probably said in the questions at the bottom, which I ommitted reading). I really need one of these as I drive all day, and frequently have to stop to read a map. With poor near eyesight or through the winter months when it is dingy, I get very frustrated and always get lost. Have added it to my birthday lisst! Thanks for the recommendation. Gwen :-)
